Any X-factor winners/finalists switched/switching on your town's Xmas lights?

Same Difference switched on ours yesterday. They were great. They were so happy!

Andy Abraham (the binman) is switching ours on tomorrow night. I'm heading into town with the girls to watch after they begged me.

Michelle McManus is supposed to be switching on the christmas lights in the town where I work. Not X-factor but she did win Pop Idol/Stars or whatever it was called.

    Joflake,

My daughter (2) would've loved Pingu!

We thought it might've been too noisy for her yesterday but she loved Same Difference - she keeps saying "man and lady jumping!" ?

    KB3,

    Wouldn't have minded seeing Andy.

Not sure where you both are but Leon Jackson is going to be in Paisley tomorrow.

Same Difference are doing ours tomorrow night - busy little bees that they are. <cynic> Do you think they've got a CD to promote then? Their 1 year handcuff deal with the X Factor people is obviously at an end so their management are probably going to flog them to death over the next few months - lets see if they're still smiling at the end of it ?

We've got Journey South I think. Are they an X Factor group? We also have the young girl who won the swimming gold medals at the paralympics as she comes from here.

We had Bad Lashes switch on the Christmas Lights in Plymouth last night. Oh the glamour! "Big hand please, for the first losers on this year's X Factor!" ?

Oh yeah, and a woman from the panto - Linda Lusardi, I think.

Not sure which is worse: has-beens or not-quite-beens ?

We had Jonathan Wilkes [who? I hear you ask] switch one one lot last night.

Next week Phil 'the power' Taylor is switching on another lot.

Think an x factor finalist would be better.

Leon Jackson did Paisley's lights earlier today!

My mum called me last night to tell me - she was very excited as she loves Leon!

I'm not a fan and live in Northern Ireland now so I'm not sure why I needed to know this!!

I'm sure it'll be our Mayor that does our lights next week - same as usual I think, we've never went cos 1) K was too young and 2) S worked Saturday's until 7.30pm so if its dry we'll go along and watch the fire work display.

    Luv Victoria

    xx

Ours are being switched on on Thursday by a 'special surprise guest'. I wonder if the council are currently hunting around, frantically trying to find some Z list celeb who is available to do them. Anyone want to take a guess who it will be and I will update on Friday ?

    Orville The Duck?

    Emu?

Sooty & Sweep? (I'm showing my age now)

Maybe you'll be really lucky and get Brangelina or Take That or they may even pluck you out of the crowd to do it!!?
