I'm 30th March 2013. Glad to see I'm not the only one planning this early! (largely due to having to save up for so long TBH!)

We've booked venue for ceremony and reception as well as registrar. Everything else can wait!

I'm 2013 too! We're thinking around April or May, not got anything booked yet, still looking round venues at the moment. Giving it two years as neither of us see any reason to rush and I just want to enjoy being engaged and do things at a nice leisurely pace.

Oh I did, thanks. Forgot that I never replied, sorry!

I emailed them again yesterday and they've said we could go around on Sunday morning but would be shown around by a duty manager, which I'm not too keen on. I think we'll go up to have a look in the middle of next week. Where else have you looked? Are you looking strictly in Sheffield? We're thinking about looking slightly outside too to give a bit more choice, but not too far!

It was Sue (events co-ordinator) that showed me around. We're only really looking at places that offer all inclusive deals (Cutlers Hall now has an all inclusive btw) that can do both day and evening, are within budget and that will have accommodation with a reasonable travel distance (as we are having family and friends coming from all over the country)

That's pretty much what we're looking for; we want all of the day in the same place and would need to have accomodation either there or very close, as we have people travelling from over the Pennines.

I actually got a brochure from Cutlers Hall, it does look nice. I might go and have a look, we're trying to look around as many as physically possible at the minute!

So, my first post on a wedding forum! feels really strange but exciting.

We're getting maried in 2013, the 1st June. We've just started the process of looking for a venue, have a short list of 8 now so not bad and seen 3. There's so many decisions to make not sure how it'll all get done even with 2 years notice and if anyone else tells me they're starting to get booked up for 2013 i think i'm going to panic.

I can't wait to have the venue booked, it will all seem real once we have a date and know where it will all be happening! Once the big things are out of the way, I think I'll be chilling out and just doing everything at a nice relaxed pace (that's the plan anyway, I feel stressed just imagining everything that has to be sorted!)

Ha, I think that is the right word yeah!

I'm usually quite a relaxed person, but I've never really pictured what my wedding would be like, so I keep thinking about it and I can't picture it in my head which is stressing me out. Just wish I knew what I wanted and it would be much easier!

Tray1980 - I've been to look at 2 places, got a couple more lined up over thee next week or so. I sent you a message through here yesterday, not sure if I did it right!

Nervousbride88 - I think with something like this, you just have to do what you want and expect people to like it or lump it. Hopefully since they're you're family/friends, they'll like it. And if they don't, they just keep it to themselves! That's what I'm hoping for anyway. I know what you mean though, I hate having a party or anything at mine, even if it's just drinks before a night out, as I worry that people will be bored and blame me! I suppose on your day you'll be having too much fun to be worrying about what other people think anyway.

I'm thinking of a baseball themed wedding (to tie in with his proposal) so it will either be blue and orange (team colours) or red, white and blue (USA flag)

We're thinking about black and white but think we need another colour mixed in there too. My favourite colour is purple so might add some purple bits to brighten it up a bit.

Click the little picture that looks like a reel of film then you can select where you flash it from - i.e. is it online, on your machine etc

Ooo lovely colours, i wish my OH would let me have a pale'ish pink colour but he said NO to any kind of pink lol. I like mocha and gold but i think it looks too much of an autumn colour?? So now im thinking Ivory, gold and champange but then would you think thats too pain?
Any suggestions would be fab lol because to be honest i give up looking at colours lol... It's a June wedding by the way lol.
Ohh im having little butterflies tying in with the wedding too =) xx

No colours picked yet. Waiting for inspiration to strike, hopefully once the venue is finalised. But ideas range from quite bold but summery like fuschia and turquoise or turquoise and red to quite muted like lilac and peach. I know they all do sound a bit odd but they do look lovely together, honest ?

    Hey,

    I am getting married 1st June 2013!

We have the venue booked and thats all at the mo, I am trying to pace myself so just enjoying getting lots of ideas and mulling them over with friends and family, It feels like its ages away but it will go so quickly I want to get started now. So excited!

I tried on a couple dresses but nothing jumped out as "the one" so have left it for now. The OH will be in his military best suit and the colour scheme is royal blue to match.
