Anybody know Ipswich ?

I'm trying to find a hotel for next Saturday, near the John Mill's Theatre on Gateacre Road, about £60 for the evening. My internet searches thus far have come up with nothing, but I don't know Ipswich very well.

Can anybody help, please ?

I'm not sure off the top of my head where Gateacre Road is, but there is a Novotel in the town centre, and a Holiday Inn just out of the town, and a hotel called the SaltHouse on the quay.

Hope this helps a bit...

As far as I know there aren't many hotels near to that theatre as it is a little way out of the town. There are a few B&Bs towards that end but i've never used any of them

There is a Novotel in the city centre and a Ramada Encore by the railway station - neither of those should be more than a £6/7 taxi ride to the theatre. The Ramada is new so is currently advertising rooms from £50.
