JackieS, 14 May, 2010 at 14:52 Posted on Planning 0 24

Just having table name stands which i got from confetti, that are cream in colour and putting a picture of the two of us in it, then having a burgandy runner on the table, that has gold edging, and then some ivory flowers on each side, just plain and simple, dont think people really pay that much attention to the tables nowadays.

Wanted to spend more money on the food and drink, as really want people to have a nice time that way

Do you know what you are having yet?

I still do burgundy weddings! Although it's not as popular this year as it was last or the previous. 2008 was nearly all burgundy weddings for me! Don't be suprised if it comes back though for next year because purple and lilac have done the same. 2007 was all purple and lilac and it's back again this year and next.

A few burgundy ideas for you..

    I'm a burgundy bride!

We're having a colour scheme of burgundy/deep red, forest and ivy greens, touches of black and ivory - very deep and medieval colours to fit in with our interests and sort of medieval theme.

    Yey!

Aw, thanks! Most people are quite shocked by it..."black invites? For a wedding? What on earth are we being invited to?!" (Invites aren't entirely black - black, red, ivory and metallic silver or gold btw!)

I cant wait personally...! Roll on November!

We're doing the chair covers for a burgandy wedding next week. I always think of it as a wintery colour but the burgandy weddings we've done have been in the summer!

Very effective aren't they? The room looked fab when they were all done. We offer so many different ways to tie the sashes and the two different sizes but this is the only wedding who have asked us to do something other than the standard sash and bow!

I think its a lovely colour - It was down to the last 2 for my colour scheme choice, until CBM said that any shade of red made her look blotchy! So we went purple instead. Smiley tongue
