My H and I went there last October. It was loovely. The pool down the bottom is really relaxing. The one on the roof has a brilliant view. The changing rooms are bizarre - kind of one room inside another? You'll see what i mean.

I quite fancy going again actually, it's pricey but worth it. I might have a treatment this time, you have to pay/book those seperately.

I've been a couple of times and we really liked it. There are three main areas we could use on our general admission (or whatever its called). There is a big pool on the ground floor, with various cascade, jacuzzi areas, and loungers round the side. Then there is the steam-room area, with 4 different steam rooms - I think they had different fragrances added and may have been different temperatures. There were also some footspas round the edge of that area. The best bit we thought was the roof-top pool (open air). We didn't have any treatments or use the cafe, so can't comment on any of those.

It's probably best to check out their website if you want to see what its like: https://www.thermaebathspa.com/

I went last week for the first time and really enjoyed it, the rooftop pool is awesome and gives you a cracking view of the abbey, but it can get very busy, if you want peace and quiet I'd suggest the Minerva pool downstairs.

The steam rooms are one of the best I've gone in with a waterfall mineral water shower, footbaths and individually scented steam rooms with lizard stones inside.

Just thought - if you do want treatments book in advance - the first time we went it was fully booked when we tried (week or 2 in advance) and that was on a weekday.

    Thank you.

AB - Thanks for your reply on my other thread, I forgot I posted it ? Sorry not to have thanked you before!

Umm, are there any nice pubs/cafes etc near by to the spa, you see I have a bit of a thing about spas and I dont particular like them so because there is a big group of us and you are only allowed 15 in at a time I was going to suggest going to a pub with a couple of the others who cant go as they are pregnant but dont want to be miles from the spa either.

    No worries!

Bath city centre is quite small so you will find a lot of little places to hang out in round the spa - there's an All Bar one opposite the Guildhall (5 min walk) where you could hang out.

ETA - there's a couple of pubs almost next to the Spa (the Grapes, The Rat & Parrott) but they're not the nicest, hence my ABO recommendation.

Thats good to know as I have a tendancy to get lost very easily! Will suggest the All Bar.
