Anyone climbed the harbour bridge in Sydney?

It's my BFF's 30th next month and I want to get her something special. Her and her fiance went to Australia a couple of years ago and loved it so they are returning for their honeymoon in September. I know she wants to climb the bridge so thought i would pay for her to do this. Any recommendations of who to book it through or is there just one company that do it? Also, any recommendations as to a day time or night time climb? Thanks

I did it about 10 years ago. It was amazing, I think it was pretty expensive and there was only one company when I did it. We went in the daytime and thought it was fab.

My friends did it last month, as far as I know there was only one company to book it through and it cost approx 600 dollars for the pair of them. They did it at around 2.30pm and got some lovely photos.

I did it a few years ago. There is indeed just one company called something imaginative like " the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb company"

I did a day time climb and loved it.

You can't take your own camera up, but the guide takes pictures for you.

I think you can buy gift vouchers from the company so your friends could decide if they want a day or night climb themselves.

Thank you. I'm hoping i can get her a voucher then she can contact them to book the day and time nearer her trip! Really wanted to get her something special and memorable so hopefully this will be!!

I did it back in '07 and loved it, I think we did a lunchtime one ( cant remember to be sure) and we booked it the day before, there was this 'kiosk' under the bridge where you could book tickets.. ( you get a breath test before climbing so make sure she has no alcohol before going) .. I have just looked at the prices they now charge, eeek !! but for me it was a 'must do- once in a lifetime kinda thing' ?

You can definitely get a voucher. My BIL was best man at a wedding two weeks before he came out to Sydney for our wedding and the groom bought him a bridge climb voucher as his best man present.

I haven't done it as I'm too scared but it'd make an amazing gift.

The cheapest voucher is for a dusk climb but if she wants to do it during the day or upgrade she can when she books. Its £110, i was looking at spending £100. Hopefully she'll enjoy it!!
