Anyone creative, help me!

MrsB88, 3 February, 2015 at 10:35 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hello! So I'm looking for tags like the picture below for my wedding favours. However on ebay the only seller of one's I like is in Australia and will cost me £90 for 150 tags!! Found a UK seller but her ones are too big and she won't print them on smaller card for me! Any ideas of how I can do them myself? How would I print on tags? Thanks in advance.

You can use programs like Microsoft publisher (you can get a 30 day free trial if you dont have it). Just create a text box to the size you want, and pribt it of so you are sure of size, and then copy and paste the text box over and over until the a4 paper is full, print on nice card and then cut out with those groovy craft scissors you can get! :-) hope this helps

These look like the 2 inch punches you can buy from Hobbycraft and other sellers. I suspect she print the text and then punches the card out.

I'll email my mother the pic and see what she says. She does quite a lot of crafting so I think she'll probably know what to use to create that edging.

I think you print it on the card first and then punch out around it. I'm no crafty person, but I think this is what everyone is talking about.

Yep, my mother agrees that it's an edging punch. So you would print the text several times on a piece of paper then punch each one out to make the tag. I think with spacing and stuff there would be a bit of trial and error involved.

If you know the size of the punch you can usually find formats on Microsoft publisher to specific sizes (look in the labels section)

then print on scrap paper and trial it

make adjustments until you get the correct size

when punching them out if you have the punch upside down you can see the writing on the paper so can line it up that way

    a. It time consuming but wayyyyyyyyy cheaper and will feel more special as its your own work

I would see if you can get a hold of a cheap paper/card cutter that will allow you to change the blade from a straight to a scalloped edge, you can print them out ensuring they fit within your guidelines and you'll have the lovely wavey edge too once cut.

    xx
