lil_kel, 31 July, 2010 at 14:52 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 17

Hi everyone,

ive just started weight watchers again after realising that i need to drop 4/5 dress sizes before the wedding!

thankfully, ive got a couple of years to do it in!

Was just wondering if anyone else is/has done ww before their wedding and how you got on?

    Hi Kelly,

I'm Kelly, I started WW 2 weeks ago and have 4 dress sizes to drop but would prefer 5.

How long have you got to go? I've got 4 years as we're marrying as soon as he leaves the army but I've got my dress already.

I found a lady selling my dream Maggie Sottero at a bargain price so that's my inspiration.

Fingers crossed I'll have to get it taken in by the time comes.

How are you finding it? I'm starving all the time but I've lost 4lbs so far.

    Good luck

    Hi Kelly,

ive been doing ww since january but have lost/gained the same 7lb's since then! My doc thought it was my contraceptive implant that was the problem so i had it taken out on friday and started a fresh on monday so hopeing for a good result next week.

Were getting married on the 7th December 2013 so have a while to lose what i need to.

Thats a fab motivation! Might go get mine, that way i know i have to fit into it!

I find the plan ok, sometimes its hard like when we eat out etc but i find if you plan your meals for the week and track everything im never hungry. But if im not organised it all goes to pot!

where abouts are you? Im in newcastle

    Hi Kelly,

I'm in Manchester, our wedding will be 28th June 2014. At least I've got a fighting chande of it not raining.

Have you started looking at venues yet? I'm struggling to find one that will come in under my budget but I have 18 months before I have to decide. Although I've spoken to a couple of places who are already taking booking ?

    Hi,

Thats the only problem with us getting married in December, Who knows what the weather is going to be like!

Yea weve found our venue, getting married at The Grand Hotel in Tynemouth on 7/12/2013. Were hopefuly going to book sometime next week as some of the places we looked at had bookings for 2015!

There are some fab venues out there but they charge a fortune and when you look at what your getting for a few thousand £'s it's just sickening!

    Hi Kelly's,

I have been on WW for nearly 3 years and have averaged out a stone a year as I was not able to stick to it 100% all the time and the risk is not being able to maintain so I choose to take it slowly, however with only 2 months to go for my wedding and my dress not fitting I am wishing I took it a step up a little earlier haha! I got my dress in January and it was too small so thought that would be the determonation I need!!! but did not get to the gym till July ? I will get there. I wish you both the best of luck, you will get there and have your dream dressxx

I have always checked my weight on every week, When i had got to know that i might get fat i would check everyday. Right now, i only check on every last day of week.

    Hi,

I've been really naughty recently as H2B has been home on leave and I haven't followed it at all or weighed myself.

My motivation is here though as my dress arrived yesterday and its not a 16 as advertised but a 14 so i have a bigger goal now.

I can't put links on as i haven't posted enough but if you get rid of the spaces here is a photo of it

I'm getting all excited now!!! is there such a thing as wedding burnout?

Speaking of venues, I've narrowed it down to the following which all do a full package for between 3 and 4 thousand

    Etrop Grange, Manchester Airport

    Cheadle Hall, Stockport

    Mottram Hall nr Wilmslow

How can people book 5 years ahead?? I think its too early 2 years before the big day

    xx

    Hiya everyone!

I'm a newbie to the site but not a newbie to weight watchers - have been joining and quitting for over 7 years!! When my H2B proposed to me on June 5 this year, that was all the motivation i needed to get back on the weight loss wheel! When i started in June was size 18 (5'5 and weighed 13st 13lb) and when i went to my last meeting 2 weeks ago (i've been really bad recently as been moving house and have a really important exam at uni on Tuesday) i weighed 12st 9lb so hoping that after Tuesday i can get back into it and continue to make progress towards my 9st goal - it seems so far away but at least i have until 2012 to lose it all!!!

Anyway, hope you're all doing well with your weight loss journey, would be great to keep each other motivated Smiley smile

    xx Alice

Hi, I just wanted to say that I'm sure I heard wedding dress sizes are actually one size smaller than they say, I know when I was bridesmaid I was a 14 but the dress said 12. Don't know if that is the case with your dress or not, but thought it might help with the pressure! ?

    Hi Kelly

I know exactly what its like to lose weight and then suddenly put it back on and it feels like one step forward to victory and then 10 back to the start - talk about demoralising! I'm sure WW works for some women but I couldn't go through with it after I managed to almost immediately put back on more weight than I had already lost. Anyway I found an instant solution to my weight loss problem and I am now 3 dress sizes smaller than I was over 2 months ago. Plus I get to eat whatever I what (to an extent, no more friday fish and chips ☹️) but please note, this program actually works and the results are pratically instant. If you have never heard of Body Magic or the body reshaper program then you've got to see it for yourself.

"The Body Magic is an innovative creation that will sensationalize your body by giving you the appearance of a liposuction transformation without the surgery. Innovative in design to lift your bust and stomach as it flattens and controls your abdomen muscles. This body shaper lifts and reshapes the buttocks and helps thin your thighs and hips while pulling the shoulders back to correct posture."

Girl, i'm telling you, this garment is a God send! plus as soon as I had put on my own one and worn it for a week, i noticed that my body was naturally beginning to take an hour glass shape - without wearing the garment! And the best thing about this Body Magic is that it actually does the hardwork for you by burning off the fat in your skin tissue through perspiration. Its almost like magic. Check it out for yourself if you want, below is a link which informs about the garment and the weight loss program called the "2Step System"

    Does this help?

    Hi All,

Newbie here, I joined Weight Watchers back in May and have lost 2st 7lbs and down 2 dress sizes. Still have another 7lbs to go and it;s seems to be taking ages. Just seem to have hit a plateau ?

It'll be just keeping it off until my wedding next October. Got some motivation as I ordered my dress yesterday and it's a stlye where they'll be little room for change in shape.

    Good luck.

I used to do weightwatchers but found because of counting points i became a bit obcessed with food! and didnt find i lost all that much with them tbh!

I started weightwise in May this year i was verging on a size 18, 13 stone 7, now im 11 stone 11 and size 14 Smiley laugh i wouldnt say that ive been brilliant all that time ive had my off days/ sometimes weeks lol you just have to stick at it and it will come off eventually!

im not getting married until 2012 so have plenty of time to get down to my target 10 1/2 stone Smiley laugh

Good luck with the weightlose everybody x
