Not exactly, but I am thinking of keeping my surname as another middle name, because its Italian, its unusual and I think I'll miss it! It would sound odd as a double barrell though

Nope! Just taking his. I can see why people do though but I want us to have the same name and our future kids to share the exact same name too!

That's an interesting idea snap. I'm chinese and the OH is english, but my first name is english so I'm a bit reluctant to take his surname as I feel like I'd be losing a bit of my heritage. Plus his surname is odd!

I've already got a chinese middle name but I dunno, I never use my middle names as it is and plus my surname would be odd as a middle name.

We'd spoken about double barelling but decided it'd be way too messy for the kids and us when signing stuff for example!

Hi, I've double-barrelled my name! I waited 16 years to get married so kind of got attached to my own surname so decided to keep it after the wedding. My surname has heritage which I want to keep whilst hubbys is a very popular surname! The 2 goe very nicely together! ?

    Hi There!

I am married and wanted to keep my surname as its quite unique but also wanted to take my husband's surname so took his as well in order to have a double barell surname. I love it and get a lot of compliments although sometimes when asked for your surname it can confuse some people especially call centres!
