Anyone else a 2nd May 2015 bride?

Yep, I'm a date twin

Nothing left to organise and pretty much everything now paid off.

We've got a few little bits to do such as finish spraying the table plan easel, glittering the Mr & Mrs sign for the top table and the numbers for the tables. We've got to get the confetti (natural) and other little bits from Ebay

OH has his first measurement/fitting on 31st Jan with his groomsmen and I'm having my hair and makeup trial that day too.

Got to start chasing RSVP's next month as we have got to finalise the numbers at the beginning of March with the venue.

I have booked my dress fitting and make up trial for march so I'm focusing on weight loss and beauty regime right now.

Still a few things to sorted by food and drink is the biggest thing really.

Meeeeee! It's such a popular weekend to get married it would seem.

I have so much to do it is starting to stress me out and before Christmas I thought I had it all in hand.

Visit venue to have menu tasting and meet tog there to look around.

Arrange fittings for bm dresses

have my dress firting

hair trial - this weekend

find vases for flowers

find make up artist - thought I'd found one but maybe not!

Table plan / order of service / table names etc

finalise what I want for a cake

h2b ring

suits!

book hotel for wedding night!

Favours... The list goes on!

Toooo much! It's getting so close. I'm really excited but nervous too that so many people will be in one place because of me!

My list of things left:

Pay for near enough everything

Suits (H2B sorting, I'm not getting involved)

To arranged hair and make-up trials

Order of service / menus / make table plan

Choose church music / hymns

Wedding party gifts to buy still

Dress fitting next week (it came in yesterday!!)

Go shopping for MOB outfit with my Mum!

Go to church and sort reading of the Banns

Buy flower girl dress

Have BM dresses altered

The list really does go on and on

But I love it all!!!

I am pretty organised the only thing I have left ot do is time the entrance and complete the order of service cards.

We have been saving like crazy and I am so proud that we will have been able to pay the wedding off before the event without any loans credit cards or help from family, my OH even said there was a bit spare !

I dont know what i am going to do with my time once the wedding is over ☹️

I genuinely can not believe how quick the time has gone ! Its so close!!!

Wow......Lots of you getting hitched that day. I'm available too for any of you that want some added entertainment maybe during your meal or drinks reception.

That's the final meeting with the Registrar done and all paid for.. and also the D.J paid for this morning... that's nearly everything paid off now and so excited/nervous...

1st dress fitting booked for 7th March, OH and his groomsmen going for their suit measurements tomorrow and also my hair and make-up trial tomorrow too.... eep!

3 months today....ekkkkk that like 12 weeks

since we last messaged Ive been pretty busy. we paid off our honeymoon on friday. got everything else to pay for now.

ekkk. cant help but think ive forgot to organise something so here is my list of what we have done:

venue

catering

wine

invites sent - some rsvps received

honeymoon booked

dress brought and first fitting 2nd march - weight loss started - 10.75 lb since xmas

suits ordered and paid for. H2B to sort out fittings

my shoes brought, veil borrowing from my bestie

H2B has got my jewellery

order of the day done

table runners done and some decor started - bows for chairs and cake table, jars, confetti cones

given notice, sent back paper work, chosen readings and music

chosen where i am going to get my nails done

got my hair and make up trial on the 27th

left to do:

table plan

friends doing flowers - need to sit down with her as to what we want

go on the honeymoon

have i forgotten anything?

So tomorrow marks 2 months and I have my first dress fitting. Had my hair and make up trial the other day too.

I still keep thinking that I have forgotten something though...Help! ?

The dress fitting went really well, just needs a little bit taking up at the bottom but fit lovely, have flashed a little picture

Meeting with the venue next Sunday to finalise numbers then that's everything done and everything paid for... eek!!!

I had my dress fitting and my dress has to be taken In loads :-)

stillwaiting to hear from our venue...still no invoice sent and I really want to hurry up and get it all paid for.

Done a lot of ebaying this week and brought the lasts few little bits and trekked around hundreds of shops to find h2bs shoes for the wedding.

I have just been reading the first messages we all sent back in January when we had 90+ days left... we now have 35 days left...

Oh.My.God... where is the time going?

Last week I hit an all time calm, I was so chilled and then BAM half way through this week I think I realised just how little time we do have left to the wedding lol... x

OMG, that makes me freak out seeing it in days! I much prefer thinking of how many weeks there are left as it seems to be farther away!!

A silly thing I know, but just a reminder to my fellow 2nd May brides to register for postal voting if you plan to be on honeymoon during the general election. That is if you're voting, of course!

Samiire, Mr Mac and I were just talking about voting and we will be on honeymoon during that time, do I have to wait until the voting card is posted through though or should I, in the first instance, ring the Local Authority?

We filled out this form and sent it back to our local office: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/apply-for-a-postal-vote. They need to receive it at least 11 working days before the election!

Off to the local Church this morning to hear our away banns read for the final time and to get the certificate. Service starts in 15 minutes and I'm still in bed! Lol, damn clocks changing!

Oh gosh i hadnt even thought about getting a postal vote....added to my to do list.

i cant believe its so close now. so excited. i had my hen do this weekend. i had the most amazing fabulous time.

Oh, how exciting!! What did you get up to!?

My hen isn't until 18th April. Had to book it as near to the wedding as we could because my Sister only gave birth last month and we wanted to make sure she'd be okay in case of any complications! Luckily, all was fine!

Ok so I just thought I would ask if anyone else is completely pooping their pants that the 2nd of May is coming round really quickly!! I constantly feel like I have butterflies argh!!!!

We went dirty buggy racing and then out for a meal and cocktails in a club....it was amazing

Can I gatecrash?! Im getting married on the 1st of May but I think im the only one on here!

With 2 weeks to go I am feeling disorganised! Have a week of mega DIY and confirming all the details. Then the week before I have earmarked for nothing except nails and tan and all that jazz! I have a feeling next weeks activities will spill into the last week!

How has it come around so fast!! I am super impressed by other peoples organisation here!

we also treated ourselves to new fragrances today (didnt account for it in the budget though!opps)

its so close now. i am so excited.
