Anyone else completely choose the wrong clothes today?

Hepburn, 3 July, 2009 at 09:35 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 22

At home it was hot overnight, sunny and muggy this morning. Same as every other day this week.

So I went for a dark denim pencil skirt, black strapless vest top, chunky jewellery and wedges.

Got to work and it's peeing rain, cold and no signs of it stopping.

Poor outfit choice today ?

I feel your pain, i'm doing ok today because I'm off and still at home.

But, on the days we've been promised good weather i've worn flip flops and strappy top and been cold/wet toed and on the days we've been promised rain and i've worn closed toes it's been hot.

I just can't get it right. Not sure what's going to happen here today, we've had a bit of rain, think i'll wear jeans and a light top and trainers.

? Oh dear. I've only got the right clothes by luck rather than judgement. The dress I was going to wear was thin straps and very summery but I couldn't find it so i've got a wrap dress on which is a bit more appropriate. I did walk in in flip flops though so fingers crossed it stays dry in the West End because I don't want to have to walk home in my shoes.

I don't even have a cardigan with me ? Another near Witney want to drop by with a jumper for me?!?

Sunset, I hate it when I wear flip flops and it rains, horrid on my feet! Jeans I think are a good plan today!

I'm going to see Blur in Hyde Park later and I haven't a clue what to wear. I think maybe jeans, short sleeved top and ballet pumps? Maybe I'll pack a kagoule too. Stupid weather - hot, muggy but likely to rain. Gah.

Oh yes, on the days it rained and I had flip flops on my feet were full of grit by the time I got home. Not nice.

I think that's a good plan, jeans with a short sleeved top and pumps, I'd def take a rain mac or jacket though too just in case. If it decides to tip it down would your feet get uncomfy in pumps? I know mine rub if my feet get wet...

I know exactly what you mean this mixed up weather is giving me grief in the mornings when trying to work out what the hell to wear! A couple of days ago it was beautiful sunshine at home so i went summery but by the time i got into town and went out on delivery late morning we had big black clouds followed shortly by a real cloudburst of rain, i was not impressed and seriously soggy in the foot department.

I think overall i'm more of a winter person, you know where you are when it's cold! ?

No, I'm pretty much okay - knee-length flippy skirt, vest top, wedges and I've got a cardigan for later in case it gets cold (we might be sitting outside for dinner tonight). Sadly skirt is dark grey, top is black and I my black and grey cardigans are both chez loml so I had to bring a white one. Might do emergency shop later.

I'll be up for that ?

The Reading meets are usually for BT'ers and whilst I am over there a bit I don't have children or a bump so wouldn't be able to go to the meets!!

I have no jumper to bring you I'm afraid.

I've walked MIL's dog round witney lake this morning, that has heated me up enough to just wear a t shirt
