Anyone else getting married prior to June next year but

We were originally looking at June next year but we found out yesterday that h2bs divorce papers that we posted in January have been lost by Royal Mail so it's gonna mean we can't book till May at the earliest so June will probably be out and September is looking likely

We're planning on March/April next year and have found a venue we both love. I was a bit worried asking for dates that were still available but they still had 5 of the 9 possible Saturdays.

It's over a year away for you and that really is a long time, it's just being so emerged in wedding planning that it seems like nothing!

Myself and my husband got married on 16th April 2011, we only got engaged mid august the year before that!! As soon as we got back from our holiday where we got engaged, we requested details form venues & got info online from register office & by mid september had a date booked for mid april. We had initially wanted the end of may bank holiday weekend, but couldn't find a venue locally that was free for that date, so due to me working term time, went with what was in a school holiday & ended up with the easter holidays (didn't want a summer wedding). I think for us, it was a good amount of time as the planning didn't linger on for a couple of years or more. The only things that may need to be sorted out sooner rather than later are the venue & registrar/church, then photographer & get looking for a dress if you're planning on getting it from a bridal shop (they can take 6 months to come in from ordering, plus you may need time for alterations). What is it about all three venues that you like? (You're a Bucks bride right?!) don't rush it because you feel you 'should' be doing anything.

if you love the venue this weekend don't feel like you have to see the others just cos you've booked to, if you love it, go for it, it's your day!

Im assuming notley tythe barn is the fave? Which are the other two?

Yes Notley Tythe barn is my fave as its so pretty and different to any other wedding I've seen/been to. The other two are Mercure parkside in Milton Keynes and Q Vardis in uxbridge. I'm sure when we are at Notley again tomo showing it to our parents I will still love it and want to book - it's h2b who wants to see each of them again then decide. Luckily we are booked to see the other two again next weds and thurs

That's cool, all ill say is go into each of them with an open mind and really weigh up what each offers you.

i am so glad I didn't go with my heart initially and listened to my head as now I love my venue!

I feel like my heart and head are there I think they are good value as well as what you get.

cant find the venue I like so need look again sometime in April.

You've still got plenty of time! We're getting married next may and all we've booked so far is venue and just looking at everything else. The only reason we booked that so soon was because we found one we loved that only had a few dates left that work for us and we got panicked we'd miss out :-)

I don't think you have to worry/ I am getting married on bank holiday Saturday in August 2013 - I only got engaged and booked the venue in January. I don't think I will have found a more perfect venue had i looked 2 years in advance! I am still finding there are plenty of photographers/djs etc available. I have sent out invitations. In general I am feeling pretty laid back!

Don't panic. You still have lots of time, some like me like to plan well in advance I've known loads of suppliers that are still available in 2014. Do you know when you will be able to book a date?
