Anyone else.. Or just me?

BumbleBrat, 26 February, 2011 at 15:26 Posted on Planning 0 29

Does anyone else, every so often, just surround themselves by their Wedding stuff?!

I've just spent two hours in my "Wedding Room" (Formally a double guest room!!) getting all my stuff out, having a look at it all and repacking it.. Including 75 tea sets!!

Also... EXACTLY 9 MONTHS TODAY!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Oh bless you, that's so sweet. I haven't, but then I haven't got any stuff yet. I used to do the same kind of thing in our son's nursery before he was born though so I can totally understand where you're coming from.

It must have taken you AGES to wrap all of those up!

Your not alone! I did that last week, got down the boxes from the wardrobe with everything that we have bought so far- had a look at it all, familiarised myself with things i had forgotten i'd bought and then put it all back!

If i had the space in my house i'd be the exact same !

Anyway you have to get it all out every now and then just to make sure it all looks good ect

I love your teacups btw quite looking forward to seeing it all together !

Don't know if this counts but I keep getting my veil out and posing in front of the mirror ?

Also, I'm making my own wedding cake so I've started obsessively making 'trail cakes' every weekend...

.. It's a good job I don't have my Dress at home (Although it'll be in the shop in April, eak!) as I'd want to put it on all the time!

Yes guilty as charged! one of the guest rooms is now officially the wedding room, OH calls it the boxes of crap room Charming!!

I have had my dress out but not tried it on again yet and I also walk around the house in my wedding shoes to gradually break them in and stop the squeaking noise so I don't squeak down the aisle.

I haven't got anything yet but I'm always looking at our venue's site looking at the pictures of the rooms and on Maggie Sottero's site to look at my dress! Does that count? Smiley smile

No, but I am enjoying making the wedding stuff... maybe when I have finished it I will keep on looking at all together too.

I very much enjoy the word "squeeeee". May have to use that one in the future.

Inspired by your post of all the teacups I went to check on my own teacup collection...lucky I did!!I thought I had 30 teacups, ie was halfway there. I dont. I have 15 teacups!

Glad I realised this now rather than nearer to the time... have some days off in 2 weeks, this will be spent teacup shopping!

Moral of the story- it is an idea to check your wedding stuff often!

I still get all my wedding stuff out now and then and I'm just coming up to our 3rd wedding anniversary, just love reading the cards. Monday night will be wedding dvd night - some will see this as being sooo sad, we don't think so ?. You're not alone at all lol.

If i had more stuff i would too!! Not got a lot yet but plenty of invite making stuff around me and lots of lists!!

If yours in 9 months today that means its two weeks less than that to mine!! OMG!! Time is flying by! I don't think i have a date twin like you though, but think there's a few of us in November. I got the wedding cars sorted the other day and going to make some more invites tomorrow i think Smiley smile

Have you had anymore vistaprint goodies lately??

It's quite scary how much stuff I have in my Wedding Room, I feel like I've bought way too much stuff and wont even end up using half of it!

Everytime it's a month less to go, it feels SO much closer, tomorrow with it being 8 months, 3 weeks and 6 days to go it'll seem much sooner than just 9 months today, if you get what I mean lol!

No more Vistaprint goodies for aaaaaaaaages, I don't think there anything else I want need though to be honest!

Nooo I can't yet - Have had to order without them trying them on yet so not sure if they're gonna fit/look right, I'll be so diappointed if they don't Smiley sad It made more sense to order and send back if not right than get down to london to try them on.. Will give you a clue though.. Viven of Holloway ?

I wont say anything more until they've tried them on (As much as I want to!!) cos I know I'll be really disappointed if they don't fit and I can't have them.. [:'(] Fingers crossed though, will get a real life flash when they come (This week!!)

That's where I am getting mine from. Luckily they'll be able to try them on as we live in London and can visit the shop. Not buying them till a month before the wedding, one of the BMs is getting married in May and I am worried she may put on weight (pregnancy or something) so will leave them to last minute.

I've got a small wedding cupboard which is actually just full to bursting with magazines lol

My flowers are coming together and are in designated bags in the lounge - one bag for felt, one bag for roses without leaves, one bag for roses with leaves. I've also started knitting little scarves to tie the bouquets with - I was gonna get lace to match my dress but thought little scarves would fit in with the theme better and look super cute ? Looked like a right geek on the train, knitting, on a busy Saturday afternoon lolol

Shoes are gathering speed finally, hopefully getting cracking on my burgundy pair this week, they're in a protective box under the coffee table.

One dress is in our spare room with Oh's suit - the other (proper) dress is in my mum's wardrobe and I keep going to their house for a peek, I love it more each time I look at it

Haven't bought anything else just yet but we're going to be clearing our tiny room out soon to make it into another bedroom so I'll claim some space and start buying things for jewellery etc

I knit on the train all of the time. It's not geeky, if it is, then I am happy to say I am a knitting geek!
