Anyone else stumped for secret santas at work?

Sare, 25 November, 2008 at 20:05 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 6

I joined the secret santa at work.I work in a school, and who did I draw? Yep, the male headteacher[:'(]

Having not really done SS before, and seeing as there seems to be a sudden rush of Christmas relate threads, I thought I'd ask what people buy for SS.

Ooh dear. Sweets? Depending on his personaility (some head teachers are rumoured to have them) what about a jokey book?

In my opinion it should be fun so no smellies or boxes of chocolates.

My Mums' a head teacher and one year got a "survival Kit' full of silly items like a big red pen - for marking SAT's with and a little bottle of gin and a stress ball - for when she reads the rubbish on said sats - I think you get the idea.

I'm doing secret Santa with my in laws and have got my SIL's boyfriend. So what do you buy a 19 year old performing arts student (which is all I know about him) for $20?

It's a £5 limit and he's quite easy going. Also has 3 children under 8 so I'm tempted by that book Betty. I'd like to strike a medium between serious and funny gift.

How about the MP3 player on http://www.grabitnow.com/ at the moment and put a few amusing songs on. Say it's so he doesn't have to listen to the children all the time ?
