Moxhull Hall is a lovely venue.

I could name loads, is there a type of venue you are looking for? Barn for example!

Lasan in Jewellery Quarter is good if you are wanting curry for your dinner.

And in terms of venues - what about Hotel du Vin - we did a lovely wedding there over Christmas with 40 or so guests.

If you want Asain food then Kababish is amazing!

They have a resturant in Moseley and Sutton.

Moxhull Hall is beautiful but they were fully booked for every Saturday and bank holiday Sunday for 2013 when we was looking in 2011 Smiley surprise

We are getting married at Lea Marston.

Have a look on the wedding venue search engine on here, it's great, it comes up with all local venues. Smiley smile

    Hi There,

Theres the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath http://www.kitchengardencafe.co.uk/ If you do a google search theres a couple who had a wedding at the Botanical Gardens and a reception here which looked lovely. i think you can hire out the function room or the whole place.

    xx

The Kitchen Garden cafe is fab! We photographed a lovely wedding reception there last year. It would fit 40 perfectly and you would have it to yourself as its not big enough for them to keep it open to the public if they have a private function.

I'm a Brummie bride to be. We have decided on Sandwell Registery Office, and have no clue what so ever about the reception. On a tight budget, we are looking for meal and evening to be less than £1,500. Is this possible?

Congratulations to the other Brummies too Smiley smile

This was my budget, so far the best i have been able to get is £1800 but thats not including the disco and chair sashes. Theres a groupon for the wroxhall hall hotel for £1700 but its in shropshire so might be a bit of a drive for you im not familiar with sandwell.

I have seen a few places that do packages for £999.

Try the Old Library at the Custard Factory, or The Electric Cinema!

    Both fab venues.

Gainsbourough House Hotel do a £999 package on a sunday - Thursday for 40 people ( 3 course sit down meal, welcome drink and i think overnight accommodation for bride and groom) Even with the extra drinks package it would be less than £1500.

    Bargain!

St Paul's is a lovely church. We did a couple of weddings there last year - my favourite was one that had a tea party on the church balcony afterwards. They then went off to a reception at Fazeley Studios.

Good luck with the rest of your planning!

Our friends had their receoption at the Blue piano restaurant. A few people were dubious about having asian food at the wedding but it was amazing, much nicer than a roast dinner particularly as it was cold outside!!
