Anyone from Bristol?

GeordieBarbie, 17 November, 2009 at 12:24 Posted on Planning 0 9

Any recommendations for beauty places? Was planning on getting it done in Reading before I head over to Bristol but am now thinking it might be easier to get nails at least done in Bristol?

Thanks

Thanks Lorna! Any recommendations appreciated ?

And I'll keep you in mind should I need a freelancer, I like the sound of that... ? Does she happen to have a website or anything?

I used to live in Bristol and I loved this place http://www.victoriasbeauty.co.uk/ though only went for waxing & tanning so don't know about nails but when I went for the tanning trial they had a nail trial at the same time & the murmours from those having their nails done were great.

    Hope that helps

    I live in bristol!

i know atkinsons spa in clifton village is really nice - have only ever had massages there, but they do manicures as well. i also hear good things about the clifton beauty company on queen's road.

i usually use nail xpressions in clifton for my nails, they are quick and clean but very much a 'lunchtime manicure' so it's an in-and-out thing, maybe u want something more special/pampering for your wedding nails!

Thanks All! I shall save them to my favorites ?

I think i'll probably get my eyebrows waxed and eyelashes tinted in Reading as i'll want them done the week or so before. Not sure what the plan is yet but D thinks we should spend as much time apart before the wedding as possible (makes it more special apparently) and seemed to think he wasn't going to be giving me a lift to Bristol! ?

Im a make-up artist in my spare time, you can check out my website www.kissnmakeup.co.uk. My Friend Catherine is a nail technician, so you can check out her website Forever nail & Jewellery. We are both based in bristol and will travel to you.

Im glad other people have put ideas up as Im getting married and dont want to do my own make-up but I am finding it hard to find a make-up artist that doesnt charge the earth! Im not expensive and i dont want to fork out!!

    Good Luck xxx
