Anyone from Northern Ireland?

Im from Belfast, just saw your post and thought id give you my thoughts for what there worth!

The 'official' flower for Northern Ireland is the Shamrock. However what I would say to you is that to be totally honest, as someone who was born here and lived here all my life it has no meaning to me at all. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw one whether real or as a symbol, I think its mainly something that Americans etc would associate with Ireland. I'm only saying this as how I feel, and if you like it then go for it as its your day, and its lovely you want to remember your dad on the day, I'm just thinking there may be a more personal way to do this? Also its not the most attractive 'flower' lol

Hi, my H is from Northern Ireland and I considered on of the readings being an irish poem.

there was a thread on here with lots of ideas, i can try and did it out.
