Anyone going to or been to Malaysia?

Have not been but its my number one choice for our honeymoon....just th thought of it brings me into a smile ?

We're looking at a few nights in KL and then off to an island like Langkawi where we can relax on the beach but also hire a car and do some exploring etc. Best of both worlds!

We went to Kuala Lumpur last November as a stop off on our way to Australia. Very hot & humid. We really enjoyed it stayed in the Traders hotel which is really nice but all the hotels are quite luxurious so you can't go wrong wherever you stay. I have a friend who went to Langkawi for her honeymoon a couple of years ago and loved it. We've also been to Singapore which again is best just for a few nights as a stop over but it's fantastic and I prefer it to KL.

Kuala Lumpur is brilliant. Got to have dinner int he revolving restaurant at KL Tower plus spend time at the bird and butterfly park. It's VERY hot and humid as has been said, get a hotel with a pool! I think we were something like £100 for three nights. Food was about a fiver each per night including a drink (this was a few years back) We saw the most amazing thunder and lightening storm I have ever seen and I was swimming in teh roof pool watching it and looking out onto the patronas towers - will never forget it (not will I forget how utterly stupid it was to be in a pool during a storm!)
