Anyone got a 2L BMW 3 series?

Sunset21, 2 February, 2009 at 10:04 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 6

I'm specifically looking at a 2005 model and trying to work out what the tax would be on it. Can anyone tell me?

No but I've just ordered a new one , in the brochure it says the VED is band C , £120 a year. It's probably the same?

Have you had one before monalisa? My H is looking at them as a possible new (well 2nd hand but new to us) car, it sounds very expensive (to run) to me but I know nothing.

I've never had one before , it's a company car and I chose it because it has low emissions compared to other similar cars. I guess it depends on what you are comparing it to - but I was suprised at the fuel efficiency as well.

Well we're also looking at the Audi A4. We're trading in our old Peugeot diesel which is very expensive to tax. I just want to make sure he's not getting us something that he likes the look of and not really thinking about economy/efficiency.

You also need to think about the servicing costs - if you want to keep a full BMW service history, to have a car serviced by BMW is about £300 - £500 per service depending on which one it is!

You can keep full service history by using your normal garage and genuine BMW parts - sooo many people fall for this con by main dealers.
