Anyone had men as "bridesmaids"

overtherainbow, 4 August, 2009 at 07:45 Posted on Planning 0 1

My daughter and I were chatting about weddings and she was asking if you had to have women as "bridesmaids" and why couldn't you have male friends? I've done a small number of weddings where there has been a Man of Honour rather than a Chief Bridesmaid but none where there have been all male attendants. Although she has lots of female friends, her closest, best friends are male and I wondered if anyone on here had done this?

Can't say I've heard of ALL male attendants, but I was a "grooms attendant" at a wedding in America, while the bride had her brother as an attendant. It still evened up though for walking down the aisle. I'm not sure guys would be too keen on walking down the aisle together... Smiley smile

I've heard of this before, for certain. I don't see why this would be a problem.
