Anyone having or know anyone who has had their pets included in the wedding day celebrations?

My cat would most likley either eat the rings or wee on a guest.

MrMini has warned me that he may get 2 indian runner ducks in bow ties to walk up the ailse with the rings round thier necks. The worrying thing is I dont know if he is joking.

My parents got married 30 years ago and had their dog wearing a matching bow on all of wedding photos (he wasn't allowed in the church though!)

I am loving the duck idea! You should definitly make it happen.

(I was thinking of putting ducks on my gift list as I have always wanted a couple)

As much as I love my boys (3 x cats) it wouldn't be fair to have them present on the day. One of them freaks out at the sound of cars going down the lanes, let alone groups of people.

There's a place for pets... And it aint weddings.

We will have a photo table with pics of our close relatives on their wedding day - Our cats will also be framed, sad I know!

We picked a dog friendly venue and everything, but OH wouldn't let me have my woofster there on the day. Which is probably fair enough actually! As we have a lot of pets between us though, we named our tables after them as a little way of including them.

I did have a friend a few years back whose border collie came to their church ceremony! He had a bow on his collar and everything, it was very sweet. Then he was taken home before the reception.

Both mine and my sisters dog are coming with us when we get married however will not be involved in the ceremony, as we are hoping to have it on the beach they would just be tearing off for a swim in the sea (both labs) and then shaking salty, sandy water all over our lovely clothes, they will also not be present at the meal as they have a great line in hard done by puppy dog eyes when there is food, v off putting for guests! but they will be mingling at the drinks reception and after the meal so will hopefully be in some piccies

I want my puppy there - but have been forbidden also (hmm also unsure the church would let him in but I know the venue have agreed to let us have him in the private function room but also forbidden as brings up a whole lot of other problems due to fact friends kid is scared of dogs etc so would end in tears ... although as AWFUL as sounds, would prefer my puppy there to most guests as I am bonkers about him Smiley atonished).

A friend had her dog at their wedding service and then he went home afterwards. She said was loveley tohave himthere and she has some ace wedding pics with him in them.

I guess it isnt for everyone but I personally think its a lovely idea.

I would love my 4 year old staff Molly to join in.

Would love her to walk down the isle with our rings. Unfortunatly she would more than likely crash down the isle and lick every guest in the process.

Kennels it is for our little princess :-(

My friend had her dog at hers and it was quite nice. Id love my mum to bring her dog but she gets a bit nervous and would hate all the people and loud music! (The dog not my mum?)

I always imagined riding my horse to the wedding and having the dog there for a few photos. My Fiance was happy for me to do it, if thats what i wanted. We checked with our venue and they were happy for the animals to be there ( outside only obviously for the horse!) however having thought about it very sensibly i really don't fancy having the additional responsibilty of either of them being there.

The compromise is our photographer has agreed to do a trash/cherish the dress shoot afterwards with the Dog and the horse so we will hopefully be able to get some nice photos with them in.

We have a dog but no way would he be involved in the wedding. I find it a bit odd when people involve their pets tbh. x

Well youa re all so mean I cant believe you dont want this at your weddings!!

    I think it is beautiful! ?" />

If i was having a traditional wedding my dog would not be included, he doesn't have a role in the day and will not be present for they key parts but i do hope they get some natural shots of the dogs running around and playing at the drinks reception and hopefully sleeping my the fire after the meal (although that they are sleeping might be wishful thinking!!) We have the venue exclusovely for 4 days so is like a mini holiday so dogs are coming for that aspect of it

I went to my step-mums wedding and she had her dog there a Newfoundland - if anyone doesn't know what that is it sort of reminds me of a medium sized bear - its huuuugggge!! and it jumped on me in my nice dress!

AND she made the poor thing wear a top hat!
