Anyone know about composting toilets?

*ginni of the lamp*, 8 August, 2009 at 14:34 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

The Chapel in our village has no toilet, and not enough land for a septic tank (there's no mains sewage). Someone suggested an incinerating toilet, but it sounds, and looks, kinda scary, so we're having to look at all the possibilities. Does anyone have/know about composting toilets who can give me any perspectives on them, good or bad? Thanks.

We are considering trying to buy enough land to site a tank too, but there are some difficulties with this, which is why we're looking at non-piped alternatives.

Oh yes, thanks Peaches. I'll post on BT as well (risking Darren's wrath for x-posting), I've seen her there on and off too.
