Anyone know how to sell an 'in-situ' fireplace?

cjb, 1 April, 2008 at 16:26 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 3

Hi there,

We have a Victorian house and it's got a big marble fireplace in the sitting room... We've restored all of the other original features but to be honest, this particular fireplace is a bit knackered and not very nice.

We don't want to keep it but it's probably worth something - however, I don't want to attempt removing it as it might fall to pieces!

Does anyone know how can I go about ascertaining a realistic price for it?

I would probably start by contacting a reclaimation yard and see what they say
