Anyone know of a good Under-Eye Lightener?

*ROSSI*, 24 March, 2011 at 13:01 Posted on Planning 0 16

Does anyone know of a really product to lighten dark undereyes? I've tried so many different brands and can't seem to find one that really lightens and stays on for the day. Any ideas?

IMO you can't beat YSL Touche Eclat (sp?)

best there is, although, a cheap version by George for Asda actually works pretty well!

Touche Eclat is good, but just be careful you don't use too much as it can have the exact opposite effect in photos and give you white-ish rings around your eyes. I find the Garnier eye roll on thing with the tint in it is good too....and much cheaper. I also liked the Benefit erase paste when I used that a few weeks ago alongside their Oo la lift.

I think I might have also seen recs for the aldi/lidl versions of TE, but I might be imagining that?

I can second benefit erase paste and one jar lasts for ages! when I had my bobbi brown make up lesson they used a colour corrector and then their concealor and that worked really well as the corrector takes the purpleynes out of your dark circles so you dont then have to cake the concealor on so it stays looking natural. Im not such a fan of touche eclat, it is good but i find it is better in some lights than others but the consistancey of it is really nice and light but as Mynnie said watch out for white rings if u use too much in pics

I like Touche Eclat but I also like Dior SkinFlash as there are more colour options and stays on a bit longer.

I used YSL touche eclat from when I was a teenager until I was about 21, when it started giving me eczema under my eyes...really sore! I have recently bought Clinique All About Eyes concealer and it's lovely

I quite like Touche Eclat as well, but it doesn't seem to last very long on my. As the others have said, use sparingly!

I use Soap & Glory's Trick & Treatmeant... it is fab and half the price of touche eclat (which i also use but mine is about to run out and they had the soap and glory one reduced by 1/3 in Boots at the mo!).

I use the Boots no. 7 version too - it's really good, much cheaper than ESL one and does the job well, I tend to stock up and get them when they're on 3 for 2! xx

I've recommended the Aldi one before - it's just under £4 and I use it all the time. It doesn't last as long as TE, but at that price I don't mind. Also, I'm allergic to TE and I've never had any problems with the Aldi one. Just make sure you get a light colour...
