anyone know of a high street shop/brand that sells lip stain?

knitting_vixen, 14 April, 2011 at 11:51 Posted on Planning 0 11

As you may remember I am going to a vintage themed hen this weekend (some of you have given me false eye-lash tips). I want my make up to look vintagey. I can't pull off block colours (pillar box red or bright pink) as I have small lips. I have seen a few articles that say lip stain is a good way to acheive a vintage look without using suck strong lippy.

I have had a quick look in Boots and couldn't see any lip stains- I preferably want pink, but would go for red if there is nothing else. Does anyone know where I can get some or recommend any brands? I don't think ordering online is an option as it wouldn't get here on time.

I live in London, so if anyone knows of a specialist shop here, I could go there tmw.

Benefit do that Benetint and Body Shop do one similar. I got one (like Benetint) from Primark a few years ago and it was really good! They look red but they are not that dark when you put them on.

    I use a number 7 one.

It's lipstain in one end, and lip gloss in the other end in a kind of 2 ended wand - it lasts all day!

Max Factor do a new one - it's like a felt-tip - I never wear lipstick but bought this and it stays on all day, doesn't come off when you kiss or eat or drink!

    YES! THE MAX-FACTOR ONE!

I find benetint to be quite drying. I also think Benefit is a rip off tbf, in America it's like their equivilent to Rimmel!!

Bobbi Brown do a lovely cream blush that I sometimes use on my lips, check them out x
