Anyone know of budget wedding dress shop - southeast

manicb2b, 14 August, 2009 at 17:29 Posted on Planning 0 6

Been wedding shoping with sons GF today. Found a lovely Raylia dress but it is out of budget. ☹️

Anyone recommend a budget wedding dress shop in the south east.

I bought my dress at a big sale - one of the local shops were selling all of their ex display dresses, or end of line dresses, or some dresses that just looked like they'd been found on the street! I've never seen so much froth in one place, they'd hired out a hotel for it.

Anyway, I'd recommend keeping an eye on the local papers for similar events?

Alternatively, Monsoon have a good bridal range, have you tried the high street?

She hasn't seen anything she likes on the high st and she is slim but mother nature has been very generous in the boob department so really needs a lace up dress.

There is a wedding dress sale next week but just hoping to find somewhere to go tomorrow.

We are in berkshire so Essex is a bit of a journey but not out of the question. Budget is about £400 max. Would rather spend about £300 but that is probably unrealistic. She really liked raylia W2310L but they wanted £550

Have you tried littlewoods/additions catalogue? they have some in there with lace up backs for that sort of money. or what about a bridemaid dress but in ivory? they can be alot cheaper. id just say look for sample sales as you may find something there. i can imagine on that sort of budget you would be fairly limited becasue bridal shops are usually from 500 up. have you tried searching for the dress she loves second hand?

It might be a bit of a trek for you, but I got my dress from www.firstimpressionsbridal.com in Newport Pagnell in Buckinghamshire. They buy bankrupt stock and the dresses are displayed by size ranging from an 8 up to about a size 24 I think (it depends on what stock they have in) Hundreds of dresses and the top price they sell at is £375. I would certainly recommend them.
