Anyone miss me? Good, because....

.........I'm coming home

UK in August, here I come.

Not sure how i feel about it yet.

Pros:

Washing machines, book galore, television, friends, family, better health, fish and chips, being able to cook really good food again, hot baths

Cons:

Finding home for the two cats, end of an adventure, missing good friends made here and the kids, projects continuing without me, having to pay income tax for the first time, getting a proper job

Jeez where has the time gone to?? I can remember you going out to Tanzania in the first place so i can't believe that time has gone by so quick that you're soon to be on your way home.

Can you not bring the puss cats with you? Would it involve an horrendous amount of time in quarantine?

When you think you'll be getting back?

Poor cats - it'd cost me about 4 thousand pounds I think ( and yes the 6 months quarantine , shame as they have all rabies injections etc.)

One of the large reasons we're coming home is that savings have gone and we don't want to use our 'buffer' for covering a months rent and deposit and food and interview costs etc.

Hopefully there is a fantastic teaching job out there with my name on it. H is confident of getting a good job quickly, ironically with the skills he has picked up out here helping, so I hope to be a bit picky myself and get my NQT year done.

Should be back early to mid august. Hoping the leeds kleek still does meet ups for gin.......

Pro- My 30th in August with lots of gin ?

The kleek is a bit disbanded atm what with sproggings and stuff (oh and holidays in Egypt...) but I bumped into Lorraine last week and she's well up for a reunion too, said to say Hi if I saw you x

How long's the flight? Could you smuggle them in a suitcase with ventilation holes cut in? ?

I did indeed tell Voldie to say "hello" and will definitely be around in August (can't afford a holiday).

Hope you find a good home for the cats. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Haydn has a school trip to Tanzania next year - costing a damned fortune - eek.

    Love Lorraine.

    Hi Ladies,

Was trying to train cats to lay like a fur scarf, 40s style, around my neck but they are not cooperating.

Looking forward to catching up and meeting the new leeds kleekettes, not that i met Vindaloos girl before i left!

Seems like only yesterday that you were packing up to go.

Bet you find the UK really cold now - my mate is stilll shivering on the south coast after time in Kenya and she grew up on the NE coast of Scotland so the south coast is practically tropical ?

Glad to hear you're coming back. Looking forwards to catching up with you and you can finally meet the terror commonly known as Eleanor. Hopefully she'll be walking by then and will have mastered the art of drinking...
