I'm doing maintainance at the moment, because I wanted to have a break from losing for a while. I'm getting back down to SS next week as I have my final stone to shift and then maintain.

You know the plan works, you know, you want to lose your weight. You are awsome and brilliant and deserve to succeed and lose the rest of your weight. The only catch in the deal is you can't cheat. You can do it because you have done it before.

Picture your soon to be skinny self enjoying your wedding, looking amazing. Everyone is complementing you and you have succeeded.

Sorry Bobbins30, I don't mean to hijack your thread.

In a nutshell the cambridge diet is a VLCD (very low calorie diet), but there are other plans that the cambridge diet system supports that including a LCD (low calorie diet). The diet is a total food replacement system that includes a range of porridges, shakes, bars, soups. It isn't for the faint hearted or the weak willed, so it can be quite tough if your head isn't in the right place. If you can stick at it, it works. The first two weeks can be the hardest, because your body craves carbs, which if you give in ruin the system.

I'm making it sound horrific because it isn't a quick fix, but does give you results.

O it sounds very harsh! I know a girl who sells the "Forever living" stuff. They have a detox thing on it and i was thinking of maybe doing it...but its quite expensive for the stuff! Its aloe drinks, shakes and supplements but its suppossed to be a very tuff first few days to it!

I think Ill stick to my watching what I eat and gymin/swimin!!

Beware of some diet shakes, as they contain too much carbohydrate so you never stop feeling hungry and you then cheat and feel crap.

Cambridge isn't really a quick fix, but you can lose a stone in a month if you do it properly, don't cheat and drink plenty. It is totally not a easy option or a short term soloution to a long term problem. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wasn't 200% commited to seeing a program from start to finish and was not obese.

If anyone wants all the details about the diet you can contact me, but I'm going to stop going on about weight loss systems as it can be a contentious issue and people can get upset.

There was also an article in the news recently about the Tesco shakes and how some actually contained more calories than was stated on the pack over a week you could be consuming an aditional days calorie intake or even more!!!!! x

the article I read was about the mis-advertising on the strawberrys flavour, it misquoted the amount of cals. The complainer claimed she didnt lose weight which led people to believe 'how fattening or calorific was her main meal???? If you are only eating 2 shakes and a main meal ( as stated) how can you not lose weight?

Tescos have since corrected their labelling and once again the main meal is only to be a certain amount of cals. if women are to take 1500 cals daily then it shouldnt be a problem.

I plan to get more active. Since learning to drive my thighs have increased with the lack of walking now..... and I'm not doing as much of an evening but thats alllllllllllll about to change.
