Anyone used this Videographer?

titanic83, 21 March, 2013 at 11:00 Posted on Planning 0 2

I'm in the midst of starting to put deposits down on the big things, one of them being a Videographer.

Our venue has used this company www.gorgeousfilm.co.uk in the past and I must say they have a lovely style of filming which I absolutely love. They are a little more expensive than a few of the local ones we looked at but they have a different feel about their filming. A few of the demo videos I have got from other Videographers at wedding fairs have been a bit hit & miss and not really impressed. I really want something I can look back on and be 100% happy with as so many of my friends have used Videographers and been disapointed with the result. They have been very good in providing any information I have needed so seem very reliable (touch wood) So, I was wondering if any of you had used them before and/or know of anyone who has used them?

This is a video of a couple who used them at the venue we have picked for our day. www.vimeo.com/35104077

I think my mind is made up but would really appreciate some feedback and reassurance. This wedding malarky is scary business. Smiley smile xx

I like the look of them. I'm glad you posted the other link as their website doesn't showcase their work the best, as the example video is a mix of lots of weddings.

Thank you Daffodilwaves. Yes you're right their website does need a bit of work to make it more user friendly. They have however sent me via email examples of various weddings including ones at my chosen venue. I didn't even need to ask. I've asked the vital questions like their insurance, what happens if anything goes wrong en route to us, meals, VAT inc, is the price you quote the price you pay, additional travel (they're based in Devon) and so on, so they seem pretty legit. Cheekily I even managed to pluck up the courage to ask if they had any deals or anything they could offer me i.e a discout. They couldn't come down on the price but did offer me 4 additional copies. Do you think i've been a bit over the top or is there anything else I should be asking? x

No, you have not been over the top. It's an important decision and a service you are paying for so ask as many question as you need to. I always encourage my couples to do the same. Seem like you have asked the important ones and their customer service seems fab! Four additional copies is great as you can now give them as gifts to parents as a thank you?
