Anyone willing to flash their veil?

JoeyB44, 21 February, 2013 at 09:45 Posted on Planning 0 10

2 weeks tomorrow til D day & I've decided to take your Hitched'ers advise & not wear the lace shrug thingy over my dress. So my issue now is do I wear a veil to make me feel less 'naked'? I do think it'll make me feel more bridey too BUT I'm 40, have been married before and my husband to be and I have 2 kids so not exactly the blushing virgin bride -lol.

    I'm a bit younger but I have a son, I'm still wearing a veil!

I have absolutely no idea what make my veil is, it's one I tried on in the shop, and actually the only one I liked so ordered it. It's ivory, not edged and has crystals dotted around it which match my dress. It's also shoulder length, I didn't want longer as I felt like an idiot ?

    This is mine:

I think a veil makes you feel that bit extra special on your big day - if you want to wear one then go for it, they're definitely not age specific in my opinion x

Mine was from Wedding Veils Direct. It was a coffee colour to match my dress and had scattered crystals. Was about £30.

HLT I wonder if I could have some advice from you, I'm also going for a birdcage but the more I look in to it, the more confused I'm getting! Do I go for one on a headband, a visor with a pin on each end or one on a comb? What did you go for? And how easy was it to get in to the position you wanted on your wedding day? I'm the type of person who can get something perfect when I don't need to but when it comes to it I can't do it! Ha! X

This is mine, it did make me feel less naked when I tried my dress on, and much more bridey, I loved it.
