Anyone worried they will be blubbing their way through the wedding ceremony?

TheFutureMrsB , 4 October, 2014 at 22:16 Posted on Planning 0 17

I've always been a fairly emotional person but since meeting my H2B I've got worse. If I hear a song that means a lot to us or will be incorporated into our wedding I well up. What am I going to be like on our wedding day? :-/

anyone else like this?

Glad it's not just me! I spoke to our registrar last week to finalise the ceremony details & nearly blubbed down the phone - 3 weeks to go & it's suddenly feeling very real!!!!

Yup, I'm the softest person on earth.... I cry at everything, was in floods at my brothers wedding. BUT, amazingly when I walked down the aisle last year I kept it together.... was even laughing at some points. Totally surprised myself.

If you're in floods or not it does't matter a jot.... everyone will know they'll be happy tears.

I've turned into a weeping mess lately.

Tonight i have just read through the Groom's Journal that i have completed for the other half, i completed it about a month ago - i just started sniffling away.. he's asked - what's up babe? - I'm like nothing ...!! Hopefully he''ll feel the same when he reads it the morning of the wedding!!

As for the ceremony - i think i will be a mess, but i'll be worried about ruining my make up!! Hopefully it'll be alright! Tissues on hand!

I'm dreading the tears, I'm a very ugly crier and my voice is only audible to dogs once I start! I'm pretty sure I'm going to cry because I'm known as the one who always cries. So much so that a friend has put a 2 cry a day limit on me at work (I'm a vet nurse, not just highly stressed lol).

i think we just have to go with the flow and see what happens ??

Yes! I cry at the silliest of things and even if I don't know the couple that well I will always cry at weddings so I'm going to be a mess at my own! I am determined to give a speech but started writing it and was just sobbing! I wish I knew how other people hold it together but I've never been able to.

I'm really worried about this! I cry so easily at the best of times. I'm genuinely worried about my makeup too ?

I just said to H2B that I was worried about crying and then I saw this thread! I am an emotional person, and I am so happy about marrying H2B, that I am sure I will get overwhelmed and cry!! I even bought waterproof eyeliner.

Haha love this thread! Im exactly the same. When i hear a song & think about the wedding i turn into a blubbering mess. My h2b is quite an emotional guy so even if i manage to keep it together, as soon as i see him crying that will be it.....lol x

I'm worried I won't be able to get my words because of being choked up, I'll have to just go with it :-)

I even cried at x factor on saturday night! I'm such a soppy mare lol

You might surprise yourselves! I cry at everything! and i mean everything!! on the day though, the only thing that got me was opening my card off OH in the morning. Just as i was about to walk down the aisle i had the most massive attack of nerves but mum just gripped me tighter (She gave me away) once i was at the end with H i was just smiling and concentrating on not tripping over the vows!! Not one tear the whole way through. Mind you saying that, i have read the same on a few threads and it didn't stop me getting stressed out about making sure my mascara was waterproof!! hahaha!!

I second what Mrs Butterfly said – I am quite weepy normally, and was fully expecting to cry on my wedding day, but nope! DH cried, as did almost everyone else in the ceremony room. I just smiled and smiled until my face hurt. Then I smiled some more. It was brilliant.

Oh my god, this is exactly me! I think I am begging to create a fear for myself! I am genuinely dreading the ceremony because I think I will be crying so much all my make-up will come off, I'll be wailing and snotting everywhere.... I just can't see myself walking into the church and not crying.

I just hope I do what a friend did, cry all the way through the rehearsal and then no tears on the actual day.. fingers crossed!

I am not a crier at all but was completely sobbing waiting to come down the aisle, made it Ok though the walk and to the declarations and then started again through the vows. Very odd and not like me.

I think it isn't something you can plan for: it's such an emotional time that usual behaviours go out of the window: the weepers grin like cheshire cats and the battleaxes blub like mopey teens!

I cry loads but on the day it was Mr Foo who cried during the ceremony whilst I teetered on the edge of a hysterical giggling fit. ?

So pleased to know there are many of you out there worrying about the same thing as me!!

I cry every week watching Don't Tell The Bride .. cry at every wedding .. every speech .. cry at films... cry when I get a birthday card ... I am petrified of walking down the aisle and having only horrible crying face photos!!

Even if I don't think I am going to cry it doesn't take much at all to get me going ... But I wonder if the nerves will hold back the tears?!
