Anyone's H2B got a thin wedding ring?

Canary, 6 October, 2012 at 23:01 Posted on Planning 0 8

H2B has currently got his mind set on a very thin wedding ring, maybe 2/3mm. I think this will look weird as he has big hands but am struggling to get him to try some on at the moment. So...out of interest, has anyone else's H2B bought very thin wedding rings and if so can you flash? Alternatively just back me up and tell me that he's weird!

Hello. When we went to get my OH's ring he thought he wanted a thin one as he doesn't wear jewellery and thought it would feel odd. But we realised the wider looked much better. I think it was 6 mm in the end. Maybe get him to try some on? Then he can see how it feels.

He needs to try loads on, different metals, finishes and widths. If after that he still wants a thin band, then that's fine. I dislike OH's wedding ring - I wanted him to have a traditional platinum ring but he wanted a cheap titanium one with silver inlay. I don't like it at all, but he does, and that's what matters Smiley smile

I think ultimately it should be his choice its going to be on his finger after all.

I think it really depends on the shape of the ring I tried on this one in 3mm

    /en-gb/404

    and it looked fine

I also tried this one on /en-gb/404

in 2.5mm which I did think look weird.

But that's just my personal taste.

I see lots of wedding rings (obviously) and I've very rarely seen thin bands... Only problem with them is they can make a guys hands fat as they're so small...

My H's is 3.5mm and I don't think it's too small. He does have quite little hands though. This is my avatar image blown up a bit:

Oh don't get me wrong, this is 100% his choice (I'm the opposite of a bridezilla!) I was only wondering if it was something that I was just making an assumption about (it looking funny) or if I was wrong and what other people's experiences had been. I can't get emotions to work on the iPad else I would have ended with a winky smile as I was joking about me being right.

Helenia - thanks for the flash, OH has big hands but his fingers are skinny so I'm not sure how it'll look.

Hopefully we'll be able to sort a time to go try a load on, although going off our current schedule that may not be for a long time! I was only thinking about as we'd chatted about it yesterday

Mine has a 3mm WR but his hands are quite small so the big ones looked ridiculous!

Wouldn't expect anything less FJ ?

I think OH may end up with a fairly thin ring but then he has girly hands!

We're going ring shopping on Thursday (our one year to go ?) so will get him to try some thin ones on and flash for you.
