Anything Scandalous Happen When You Were at School?

Rizzo, 18 April, 2012 at 11:25 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 52

When I was at school, a big group of grade A students took LSD at school and got caught. Nothing happned to them apart from a mention of it to their parents.

A girl fell pregnant at 14, left school to give birth, had the baby fostered and came back to finish her education.

A man was found in the boys toilets with a bag containing rope, duct tape and a knife. A pupil saw him, ran out and reported him - most of the school were outside watching interform cricket and we saw some teachers chasing a man across the field and we didn't think anything of it until a letter came home that day. The man dropped his bag and that's how they found out about the contents.

One of the science teachers used to skin up joints in the back of the classroom - he got murdered after I left school after he went to the aid of a woman who was being abused by her boyfriend in a pub.

Our school was set alight and a whole block couldn't be used as a result - the police never caught who did it, but we all had our suspicions...

Our head of year was an elderly lady and she had a sticker in the back of her sports car saying 'I Want Your Body' with details of her gym underneath. After I left school, she appeared on a programme discussing all the plastic surgery she's had.

There was a rumour that a member of staff had an affair with a pupil and dumped his wife for her when she left school.

Head of English was married to an ex-pupil.

Two teachers were sacked for getting a divorce.

A couple of pregnant girls got expelled.

I once skipped class and got put on external report. Smiley smile

Crikey!! Whaty type of school did you go to?! ?

Mine was pretty quiet, the biggest thing that happened and wasnt a scandal as such was when i was walking home from school one day when i was in year 11 one of the girls i was with crossed the road and got hit full on by a speeding car right infront of me..the driver drove off leaving the scene. Turned out to be one of the upper 6th formers who got hate mail and allsorts!!

There was the usual teen pregnancy , girl of 14, and a 6th former but ya know..

One girl slept with one of the bus drivers for a cigarette, and ended up pregnant, aged 16.

A male PE teacher used to touch up some of the girls in the changing rooms, and sports store cupboard.

A geography teacher got the sack, along with a temp for getting jiggy in the store cupboard.

Surprisingly enough, one of the most sought after schools in the City. They were very good at keeping things quiet which is why I think they didn't suspend any of the LSD taking group.

Someone set fire to the boys toilets.

I think I music teacher was suspended for having a break down and locking a student in the music cupboard.

Can't think of much else - I don't think we had any teenage pregnancies till the 17/18 mark.

A married straight P.E teacher was having an affair with a lesbian P.E teacher and they used to let some of the students look after the house while they were away. They would leave drink and let them smoke. Seems so wrong now, but at the time they thought it was acceptable.

    Couple of underage pregancies.

That was about it i think.

Usual underage pregnancies, 1 girl had a baby at 14 and was pregnant again at 16 just before we left.

A student teacher got caught chatting up girls from another local school in a local club well known for letting under age people in. He left shortly after.

The year I left the police were called to stop a mass suicide off the art block.

Oh my god flow! was the girl ok? that's horrible!

My school was the pinacle of perfection*....i think the worst that happened was a couple of teachers were found getting it on in a store cupboard once.

And one of my art teachers was killed in a road accident on her way to work.

    * i say this in Jest of course.

She was left fighting for her life for months. she partially recovered altho had some form of brain damage, could not walk properly, speech was gone and such like.

But she was an inspiration after that and came back to school and cmopeted her GCSEs, and even went on to do A Level and Uni!

A PE teacher got sacked for having affairs with several of the year 11 girls - he is now engaged to the head of PE who sacked him.

    Several teenage pregnancies.

The science block was set alight but there wasnt that much damage.

One of our year 10 Netball team hung herself and died. That was awful.

To be honest I me and my sister did cause a lot of the drama at school.... My sister has one hand so I am very protective of her (not that she needs it!) and got in several fights about it, as did she. I got fed up of the queen b!tch bullying me, so I punched her in a PE lesson, I broke someones ankle playing hockey (in my defence, she did break my nose) and my mum marched up the school to duff up one of the teachers.... ?

    Nowadays I'm far too nice...

Wowzers!!! that sounds like a colourful school!!!

    mine was tame in comparrison!

there were rumours of a teacher having a fling with a student then having a nervous break down! he left but did end up marring our PE teacher! (apparently they were engaged b4 the scandal but split up then got together again once he had recovered!)

before my time was a head girl who got preggers and the teachers went to her home to teach her (for a catholic all girls school that used to be run by nuns and still had some around, this was quite big!)

Anne Robbinson went to my school ( a LONG time before me!) and got expelled for being a trouble maker. there was this big unfinished tapestry that princess Eugenie (wife of Napoleon) had started and the story was Anne had tried to add more stitches! not sure how true this was!

worst thing i remember when i was there would have been 2 girls in my year flicking ink up a teachers back as she was walking around the class room! there were some trouble makers in our year but dont remember them doing anything too crazy!

A girl in my circle of friends became pregnant at 14, we all knew but she completely denied it. She had a massive bump ffs! She disappeared for a while, to give birth and had it adopted off and came back sans bump, still denying it. Her boyfriend at the time was in prison.. Nice.

My Physics teacher was horrid, he used to belittle people in class and be really pervy towards the girls. He smokes pipes in the classroom after lessons and had a hip flask with him all the time.

Design teacher was always dropping things so that girls in skirts would bend over to pick them up, creep.

My form teacher left after 2 years of having our class, she had a breakdown.

My ex slept with my form tutor when I was in year 8.

My RE teacher had an affair with a PE teacher, they are now married and have a baby together.

They tried to force one of our teachers to retire so we staged a sit in and he stayed! The head teacher and the school secretary were caught for stealing £100k out of the school budget.

A fair few things happened at my school.

After school one day there was a hockey tournament going on. Afterwards in the changing rooms everyone was getting changed, when a bloke walked in covered in blood with a shot gun! Turns out he'd been out shooting (we went to a rural school) and had accidentally shot himself!

My friend was playing in the grounds at lunch, went in a bush and found a naked man pleasuring himself! I then came across the same man a few months later ?

A few times before school people were almost snatched by blokes in vans.

2 girls were caught "at it" in the dorms one night.

One girl was hospitalised when she was found after slitting her wrists in her dorm.

My year 9 form tutor collapsed in front of us and was hospitalised.

One of my friends started a relationship with the choir's pianist. They're now married and have a child.

That's all I can think of!

Oh! A couple of others. Our music teacher threw a chair at a pupil. And the head teacher threw a box of biscuits at someone, and they were forced to pay for a replacement box!

My friend was severely told off for making snow angels... She ended up hysterical and was sent home!

Oh my goodness! This sort of stuff shocks me. Maybe I was just incredibly naive but I don't think anything happened at my school(s).

There were teenage pregnancies, though not many, and one temp teacher was sacked for being a pervert but that's it.

We did have a crazy science teacher who used to lock us in the classroom to regain control of the class, but we'd just jump out of the windows.

We didnt have any teen pregnancys when i was at school,my brother who went to the same school as me but five years later had about 15 girls in his year get pregnant!!

I was friends with a girl a few years lower than me at school whos dad was my english teacher, turns out he had been having an affair with the head of I.T for years , i think my friend knew but it was never discused in front of her but there was plenty of gossip about it!

There was a girl in the 6th form that had been married and divorced before she left at 18!

One of my so called friends at school was THE biggest liar ever! she went round saying that one of boys out of our group of friends raped her in the boys toilets whilst we was all there so it was obviously not true, i think i heard that our P.E teacher punched him for it ,he was bullied so bad for it. she also told us that her brother had died of cancer just as we went on a trip to wales , but we all knew her brother so knew it couldnt possibly be true , not quite as bad but she told us that she had secret brothers on the tv show The Bill and that they would sent fast sports cars down to pick her up! if it was true it would have ment her mum or dad would have been 10 at the time !!! needless to say she caused alot of trouble at school.

what schools did you all go to??

We once took alcopops (It was probably hooch, I can't remember) into school.. but forgot a bottle opener so had to smash the tops of the bottles off. Poppers in the design toilets were a regular occurrence too, as were doing Ouija boards.

I had a "friend" just like this. She lied all the bloody time. She used to pretend she was drunk, she claimed she had been raped when she was 3 years old. But the biggest, most hurtful thing she ever did though... My aunt, who I was extremely close to, died in 2003 of a brain tumour. After having some time off, I got back to school & was being consolled by some of my other friends when she came along, and almost proudly said that she'd been to see her doctor and he told her that she had a brain tumour. WT VERY F?!?!

Nothing exciting happened at my school and there were no teenage pregnancies back then (93-99). The only slightly scandalous thing that happened was a boy in my german class put water in the tape recorder and tried to electrocute the teacher. It didnt happen and he very nearly got expelled. That's about it!

My mate had a lift home off my form tutor and got off with him

Another girl ended up in a long term relationship with the IT technician

My friend took a "bad pill" at lunch time and had to be rushed to hospital. Bad enough but her dad was high up the drugs squad.

Various teen pregnancies one of which my friend fathered. He later got full custody of his daughter as her mum had allowed her to be subjected to abuse from a paedophile.

There was a man that used to hang around near school (he was a paper deliverer too which was odd for a man of his age). Everyone talked of him as a paedo but for some reason nothing was ever reported about him actually doing anything. Bear in mind this man was known to pupils before I started the school in 1990 - this appeared in the local paper last year (16 years after I left school). Who knows how many other kids were subjected to his abuse over the years:

Nothing quite as bad as others. We did have a teen pregnancy, girl was 14, father unknown as she was selling sex for pocket money and our Year 9 English Teacher had a breakdown during one of our English Lessons (sadly, his son had died of meningitis, he'd come back to work but couldn't cope). We ended up having some of the class try to comfort him, whilst others ran around the corridors trying to find a member of staff. Poor man later discharged himself from hospital and committed suicide.

Oh there are some tragic stories on this thread ☹️

We had a few sad things happen too, just trying to see what I can remember; someone joined our school after having a baby, I think we were 15 then. A couple of people had abortions and someone else had been abused by her father. One (female) teacher was rumoured to be having an affair with a (male) pupil in the upper 6th (not sure how true that one was). One teacher had a nerous breakdown. Another teacher was off for ages after tragically losing a baby at almost full term. A group of girls two years below me all went out and took trips, one of them had a bad trip and killed herself later on at home whilst she was still high. All the girls who were with her earlier that night were expelled.

I was a pain at school but normal stuff, nothing bad. The worst thing I did I think was getting pissed on red wine at lunchtime before my French oral GCSE.

Few bomb alerts which were great as we always got evacuated - day off Smiley smile

Teenage pregnancies - lots, weren't really shocking everyone as most of us lost our virginity 13/14

I used to replace my water with vodka and spent most my days drunk we also used to drop acid at lunch as it made the day go quicker

Maths teacher was an alcoholic, used to nip out of lessons to top himself up (dont blame him we were horrid)

Science teacher is now serving time as he is a child S/O we all knew he was dodgy even back then

A group of my friends burnt down the science lab

I went to a convent school which was still run by a headmistress Sister and had at least 5 nun teachers. There was a spate of LSD taking/dealing in our school too (during lessons, the fools) it went on for several weeks untill the girls selling it were caught. Their parents were then rang and apparently one of them threatened a first yea r(whilst sat outside the head nuns office awaiting her fate) that if she didnt go and buy her some paracetamol so she could kill herself befor her Mum got up to the school and killed her anyway she would knock her out. Nice girl.

There was also my poor friend who found a dead man hanging from a tree in the field behind school on her way to school one morning, she was only 12 and has never got over it.

There is a criminal pervert in Liverpool called "purple acky" (google him, he will come up) who has been in and out of jail for years and everyone was petrifed of, well during one school disco it became clear that "PURPLE ACKYS ON THE ROOF!!" We were not allowed outside, the school was surrounded by police cars and you could not leave without your parents coming to collect you.

There was the usual teen pregnancies, 2 lovely girls dies of meninjitis in second year which was really sad. We went to Spain with the school on hilday and 2 of the teachers were caught at it. Oh and one of them got so drunk he fell off his bar stool and knocked his front teeth out on the bar!

There was also the Nun music teacher who renounced her faith and rumour has it is a lesbian. I dont know if she is, but she is a lovely woman, so very kind and a lot of my friends are friends with her on facebook. The school wouldnt let her carry on teaching which was really sad as she was a great teacher and the kids loved her.

We didn't have anything like this! My school must have been very innocent!

There was one girl who was pregnant during our GCSEs. She's now married to the father and has about 5 other kids.

Other than that, there was absolutely nothing.
