Appyling for jobs etiquette

Emmark, 5 November, 2008 at 16:56 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 3

The department I currently work in will be made redundant after Christmas.

A collegue and myself live in the same area and have been applying for jobs near where we live. An agency contacted her about a job and she has now got an interview for it, which I am pleased for her.

The same agency have contacted me about the same job and would like to put my CV forward.

What should I do? Do I say yes and put my CV forward and go ahead and see who gets the job, or do I not bother and leave it for her?

I only know her though work, but I dont want to step on anybody's shoes.

Thanks

If you only work together then I don't see the problem with you applying for the job!

I have to agree with Lady Falafel and what she said made me ?

It's definitely fair game as far as I am concerned, I wouldn't dream of not applying in this circumstance.
