We still need to get rings but we are getting those after christmas, and bridesmaid dresses are being made by BM's auntie so theyre getting started after christmas. 5 months to go on the 17th of this month. Its getting very scary!

Now its just all the little niggley things like place cards, table plan, underwear etc

I think I'm going to have to remove myself from this topic lol, I'm so far behind haha! Although we have a meeting with a potential photographer this weekend - fingers crossed they won't cancel

So much to do but most things are to be done after xmas. Very excited, just want it to be here now.

Let's hope April 2014 is the nicest weather known in history (we can live in hope) x

I went away for 2 weeks in april in Devon back in 2010 and we had some of the best weather that year so we can definitely hope! I am starting to panic now, our wedding is 5 months away and I havent even sorted a dress ahhh. Once I have sorted that, I think I will feel better

Hello!!!

I've ordered the bridesmaids dresses today - I hope the girls like/fit them. Went waaaaaay over budget! They are buying their own shoes though...I'm pleased to tick something off the list though.

Also ordered the guestbook too - that was pricey (see a running theme) but we'll keep it forever so I don't mind the cost...

And FINALLY met with one of our potential photographers, really liked her! Going to meet one more as comparison but the plans are definitely coming together x

I managed to order one bridesmaids dress at the weekend (I have four to get in total but stupidly said they could all have different dresses)

We also managed to meet with a photographer who seems really nice so in the interests of ticking things off the list we might just book him (we really liked his work as well, not just trying to get everything done!!)

Also, think we've booked a DJ (even though he's gone a bit quiet) and sorted out some decoration/lighting.

Seriously thinking about getting a videographer as well, didn't think we wanted one but now think I might want it in 20 years time or something...

Hello all I am an April 2014 bride too but i have been a bit awol lately, lost my wedding mojo, as it were.

It's kinda back now, felt a bit more excited when we finally sorted our venue dressing!

I am not sure we have much left to sort. I will probably be proven wrong and end up panic stricken 2 days before but lets hope not!

My dress should be in by mid January and i can't WAIT for that!! But i do have a whole heap of weight to lose before then so no indulgent christmas for me

And well done to you Pbn! Are you picking the Bridesmaid dresses or are they? Are they all having the same colour?

I'm very proud of us lol We're certainly cracking on with things! I know what you mean about the videographer...I'm a little bit tempted but i'm not sure whether we have it in our budget and i'd prefer to opt for a photobooth if I end up picking between the two.

Do you have to decorate your venue yourself? It looked so beautiful i'm sure it doesn't need much!

I've also ordered the favours since the last post, My fiance is off work this week so i'm hoping he'll book in the London based photographer for a meeting and then we can compare the two and book that in as well.

Hello :-) I'm getting married on Easter Sunday! Very excited about that. I live in Bristol but we are going to get married where I'm from in Buckinghamshire.

i know it's not that far but it make planning stressful being 120 miles away from where we live! Xx

Haha ... Yes!!! Suits and erm ... Vows and ... OMG :/ I think that's it !

It's far enough I can sympathise, I'm in South West London and we're getting married in my home town in Essex and trying to use as many local suppliers as possible! Makes the odd weekend at home full of wedding planning!

How exciting!! When did you order it?

I can't wait to try my dress on but don't think it will be in until the new year.

We are quite organised now I think. We still need to get flowers, accessories, shoes, rings and make the final decisions about food. Other than that, I think we are organised-ish.

I've decided to make a lots of things myself partly to save money, partly to make it more personal but partly I am really enjoying it!! I'm making the invitations, table plans, favours, bunting for the marquee and the cake toppers. ?

Everyone is very organised ?. We've now organised our band, wedding cars, wedding night hotel, arranged our cake, in the process of arranging flowers (decided against my DIY paper bouquet). BM has ordered her dress. I've sorted my shoes/veil/bolero. Made all my invites and menus, just need to post them. Sorted out centrepieces. We received our rings, that's' been the most exciting experience so far ?. Not much left to do I hope, although I will have forgotten something really obvious.

Feeling a bit more organised now

Since I last posted we've done half the invite covers and got all the invite inserts printed, got our centrepieces and decided on centre piece flowers, decided on page boy suits, on the verge of booking our honeymoon. Also got transport sorted and pretty sure my in laws have booked a magician. Pretty much decided on our readings, decided on all music Also, finally got my lovely BM dresses from Monsoon in the end. Got first dress fitting booked in for 1st feb and hair and make up trials are booked for valentines week. It's so lovely to see all our planning coming together. Can't wait to see flashes from everyone's big days!

No worries ordered my dress in July and it doesn't arrive till January I think... still losing weight so hoping to put off trying it on for as long as possible. When is everyone's final fitting?
