We are off to Voyage Sorgun resort in Side, Turkey. All inclusive, great food, separate adults pool and buffet restaurant with it's own private beach and a pine forest to the side and back. Ridiculously excited!

    Are you going anywhere Alice84?

Oh my goodness, just googled it! Amazing! The hotel rooms look incredible - and look at all of the swimming pools! And the beach, ooooh for some sun right now! You can't beat a bit of all inclusive!!

We're being a bit cheeky and having two because we have another wedding to go too quite soon after ours (really great friends who actually got engaged before us) - so mini mooning at Eye Kettleby Lakes in Leicestershire (can't wait for the private sauna and outside hot tub!). Then we'll be heading to Japan in September for two weeks. Loving the fact that I've barely done anything for the wedding in April but we have been learning Japanese hahaha! Not booked Japan yet but we have an itinerary in place, slowly but surely Smiley smile x

Argh, terrifying! All seems so much more real this side of Christmas.

We're choosing music/readings at the moment too and have just booked our appointment to give notice (should have done this ages ago).

Hope you all had an ace Christmas x

just a few minor(!) things to finish up

need a hair & makeup trial

need to organise a venue dressing company (I have made a lot of decorations but won't have the time to style it myself)

need to apply for our certificate

    honeymoon..

    lose 2 stone.......

oh god I feel so disorganised. Anyone else?

Phew, starting to get RSVP's...does anyone else have the panic that no one will turn up?! I know we'll be chasing some RSVP's from OH's friends but it's a relief to know that people received the invites!

We also sorted the suits over Christmas and booked our photographer!

So music, flowers, hair and makeup are the next biggies to cross off the list! And finding a date for the food tasting - very much looking forward to that!!!

92 days to go aaaah! x

So I had a mini meltdown at OH yesterday and he's now promised to put his super efficient wedding planning head on instead of only focusing on the financial side of things. I can't wait to see if that actually happens. I don't think I'm stressed about the wedding at all but a little stressed in general at the moment with work and stuff and worrying about silly stuff about the wedding just topped it off!

We've had a few RSVPs now but surprisingly none from our family, I'm sure they assume that we know they are coming but we still need their RSVPs and menu choices. Might have to get our Mum's to bully people along!

My Aunt has been the first person to gift us via our honeyfund and I'm wondering what to do in this situation as it's quite early and very generous, do we send out a thank you this far in advance of the wedding or do I just acknowledge it and say how grateful I am then send out the thank yous together after the wedding?? ?

Hi Mooshy! Glad your OH is getting involved more, sometimes they need a kick up the bum don't they!

We're starting to get RSVP's now, it's really exciting! With immediate family we've said not to bother too much but my grandad sent his back bless him!

With your aunt, because it's a present for your wedding I'd sent a written, formal thank you afterwards but if you see her beforehand you could say an informal thanks.

Ah I was looking for this thread! We're April 12th...I was still in Christmas 'putting it off' mode and then realised it's not that long to go and still so much to do, arrgh! Friends are telling me I'm really organised but I have a giant to-do list..

So I originally started this post in June last year and I was doing well and feeling very organised!! Now things suddenly seem to have changed and I am WAY behind. No invites sent (although save the dates gone), still waiting for OH divorce to come through and LOADS to do :-( x x x

Thanks for that. I don't see my Aunt very often maybe twice a year so probably not again until the wedding. I may have to send an acknowledgement message through my Mum or Gran.

OH has been to Staples today and bought a pin board to organise our to-do tasks, bless him, I think I scared him a little!

I've just spent the afternoon perusing Not on the high street and picked up my thank you gifts for Mum and MOH so I'm high on a shopping buzz for now.

With regards to the invitations I sent mine out at the beginning of December with an RSVP date of 25th Jan for my wedding on 25th April so that I had time to chase stragglers and get everyone's menu choices in order as the venue want us to confirm numbers/menus 8 weeks before (probably so they can take our money).

This has been an exciting weekend for me... I (finally) ordered my wedding dress on Friday night and paid off the rest of the honeymoon today.

Granted I am the worst bride to be ever. Haven't even made my invites yet never mind send them.

Certainly not the worst bride ever - you've got your priorities right, honeymoon booked and paid for - but not invited anyone to the big day - my idea of absolute BLISS ? (I always wanted to just go away and get married on our own)

We still haven't even picked our honeymoon (debating beach this summer or ski next Christmas), but the invites have all gone one and most of the RSVPs are back in. We actually just sent out invites, rather than ringing everyone to say we were engaged.

We did tick a big thing off the list today though. Got OHs finger sized for his wedding ring, AND bought his wedding suit in the House of Frazer Sale Wu-hoo!

Reversehalo we're April 12th too - have you sent invites? We haven't - hoping to get sample back today then order them - that's the only thing I don't feel organised with. Have menu tasting next Tuesday. Need to order mum a little gift (not going with tradition of giving flowers) Need to sort all stationary. Need to order favours but they only take 2 weeks. Need to order some lights for the evening - think thats it but things keep popping up!!

We're also 12th April, not long now!! Our invites went out just before Christmas and sending out the evening do ones end of Jan. Partly due to the hotel bill being due end of Feb, it's going to be hard handing over all that money! Still got lots to do, gifts, second hair trial, favours, order of service, seating plan, sweetie table, decide on first dance song & marryoke, order rings, that's all I can think of for the moment.

Everyone else's panic/organisation has motivated me a little, thanks! I've had a productive few days at last. This weekend I ordered gifts for Mum/MoH and ordered my wedding underwear and we've started planning our guest board (our alternative to a guest book). I'm slowly working on putting together the idea for our table plan too. Today I organised a meet up with my cake lady for Friday (looking forward to sampling cake, mmmm!) and a meeting with the caterers on Saturday and I've emailed my MUA to try and organise my trial. Also finally got a start date for my new job which is the month before the wedding so I'm a bit worried that I'll be a stressy wreck just in time for the wedding but at least I'll be ready for the honeymoon!

Ha ha ha, we are still undecided on the song, OH wants The time of my life by Will I am, but I'm worried about the rapping...quite like Moves like jagger by Maroon 5. Will let you know once we've decided. Everyone keeps asking as they want to learn their lines Smiley smile I think I will just laugh when trying to do it on the day...thank goodness for confident Bridesmaids...

We've sent some (and in the process of doing the others). But we didn't really do save the dates, we did tell most people but I thought it was a bit more urgent to give them something with the date on it!

I've still got a long list of bits to sort out. Other people keep telling me i'm really organised though! Mind you , one of those is a friend who still didn't have a dress two months before her wedding ?

We went to meet our wedding venue coordinator this evening and have talked through all the details for the order of the day and all our requests are now pencilled in. She went through all the fine details for us and made lots of really helpful recommendations. They offered to set the room for the ceremony in a horseshoe around the fireplace rather than a long walk up the aisle which I really didn't want to have to do. I'm so excited now it's all very real!

Also we went and had tea and cake with our cake maker last night, the cake was delicious and she was really excited about our plans. Zombie cake is really happening! ?

My friends got married in September last year and had the marryoke guys at their wedding, they choose your just too good to be true. It was a great choice as we all roughly knew the words and it's a great song to dance to, lots of kicking legs and clapping. They haven't had their video back yet as it's such a long process to edit but I can't wait to see it. I guess it keeps your guests buzzing about the big day for months after!!

Hey! Just thought I'd check in and see how everyone's plans are coming along? I'm feeling like i'm waaaaaay behind atm.

    Things to do:

    Flowers - delegated to mother

    Confirm readings

Just heard that you need to meet the registrar about 6 weeks before?!

    Photobooth

Email the DJ songs we like

    Email the photographers 'do's/don't'

Put labels on the favours which are doubling as place names

    Seating plan (still chasing RSVPS)

    Centerpieces

    Get quote from my hairdresser

    Book/find makeup artist

    Flat shoes

    Earrings

    Dress alterations

    Gifts for mum and dad

    Order our cheese wheels cake

However I have just booked in our food tasting and my hair trial so that's something right?! Smiley laugh

    Oh lordy.............
