ii'm 8th April and can't wait. Generally things going well. Just very minor hiccups but nothing major - yet lol. My rant of the week though was me having a weeny bridezilla moment when two days ago and totally out of the blue FSIL announced she and her bloke were getting married on 14th Feb. 7 weeks before us. They didn't ask if we were ok with this or anything. No consideration for our wedding at all. I'm sure it's not anything nasty just a total lack of thought it's what she can be like I'm afraid. So I've been fed up about that. On the plus side, my darling daughter, my MoH found the bridesmaid dresses at an absolute steal. She looks fab in hers and my H2B's granddaughter tried hers on yesterday and while it needs some tweaking, will look fab too so happy about that.

So all fairly good here -for now lol xx

when (if you are) are you planning to send your save the dates out? I wanted mine out a year before because our wedding is a Thursday wedding. My fsil is making them for me and she was meant to start them in march, we finally got together end of April to discuss and design them. I've heard nothing since, she isn't very good at getting back intouch so I don't want to badger her. She is doing them for free so again I don't want to badger her but it's really stressing me out that we are now into June and I have no save the dates.

Hi Icklesal - almost date twin

We sent our Save the Date cards in January because of it being the Easter holidays and we know people need to get leave booked or at least earmarked. Invitations are going out int he next couple of weeks so people can book accommodation (getting married in Wales)

We're about to send a few Save the Evening cards for our after wedidng party ten days later to OHs work chums so they can get their leave booked - they do shifts so it will be a bit of a bun fight. H2B and his shuft chums are OK as we've arranged it over their rest days - but others on difeferent patterns will have to argue the toss for the time off :/ Proper invitations for the after wedidng evening do won't go out until next January.

Ooh and I've just noticesd I'm 10 months and 1 week - OMG the time is going by scarily fast. In a week it will be a year since OH decided we should get married lol.

That's why I wanted my stds (hehe always makes me chuckle) out a year before. My fsil told h2b that was too soon! I disagree, I'd rather people know now.

We are getting married on the 18th April. We arent sending out Save the dates but will be announcing it to people about 8-9 months before as we are getting married in Austria.

Its really lovely seeing other April bride to be's.

I'm 4th April, everything is planned just got to pay for it and finish the DIY stuff that is taking forever.

Hi! I'm 11th April.

Venue, tog, MUA, dress and cake all sorted, DJ is a friend of ours and save the dates are slowly going out (we're saving on postage by giving them out as and when we see people)

Still got to sort hairdresser, bm dresses, suits (although that's H2Bs job) and rings.

Everything else I'm hoping to diy but keep having wobbles about doing all my own flowers as I have no previous experience and relying solely on books and youtube to teach me! Ooh, and need to make an appointment to give notice!

The BM dresses are my biggest stress so far; I can't afford 'proper' BM dresses and wanted similar dresses in 3 different shades of purple, 2 of my BMs don't like high necked styles and one of thise doesn't like strapless. We've finally co-ordinated a date to go actual shopping but I've wasted hours on the internet trying to find something!

i have everything booked, or so I think I do lol. Venue, church, photographer, hair/make up/ cake, dj, catering, room decor, rings bought, bridesmaid dresses bought, my dress, shoes and veil sorted, cars.....think that could be all. Lol

happy planning, I'm just sorting my invites now as not bothering with save the dates but won't send them til around dec/jan time. It's all very exciting but with lots of time spare I seem to be making lots of diy bits, I can get a bit carried away lol xx

I'm April 6th - Easter Monday! i have most things sorted now, just have the mens suits and flower girls to sort but i'll do that nearer the time in case of any growth spurts (in flower girls not men!)

When are you all sending out your invitations? i think you're supposed to do it about 4 months before but i dont want them getting lost amongst Xmas cards etc, i think i might send them out first week of Jan - what do you think?

Our invitations are going out in the next couple of weeks as people need to book accommodation etc and with it being Easter they need to get this done as it's a busy little spot. It's a tough one trying to avoid Christmas but I think January will be too late. Could you send them in November?

Yeah, i think i'll have to otherwise people will only have a couple of weeks to RSVP. We've already done save the dates so the people for the day already know about it, i've got quite a few teacher friends so i wanted to make sure they kept that weekend free as it is in the middle of easter holidays!

Hi all! I'm April 4th too! Just gave out half of the save the dates this weekend and sending the rest this week, very exciting. Going to have to block book some accommodation (not marrying at a hotel so will have to find somewhere). Have booked venues and registrar and in talks with caterers at the moment. I feel really behind everyone else but we got engaged on April 5th so I think I'm excused!

I think November for the invites too.

Well I just ordered my guestbook, and managed to find a company that will do some of the page questions in German and other pages in English to suit both sides of the family

I still have so much to do too, looks like April brides are quite an organised bunch generally.

Still waiting for the priest to get back to us with a time and date for a meeting, as he wants to talk to us to find out what sort of service would suit us better (a touch complicated as Roman catholic church for my OH, but it will be my second marriage and im not catholic)

Booked my hotel room in London for 5th January to order/buy my dress - I know its really near the date but I cant get back over to England before then and there are very few plus size shops for brides in Austria

I'm getting married 11th April 2015 (we are date twins Miss Toffee)!!

So far we have organised venue, humanist, band, tog, MUA, my dress, videographer. I have lost the wedding planning mojo a bit lately, but feel I really need to get my ass back in gear! Still lots to arrange when I think about it and with a full time job and 2 young kiddos (1 starting primary school in August) I am panicking when I'll get things organised.

Oh have also made a start on some of the favours - I'm making wine glass charms for the ladies...no idea what the men will get!!

Have been toying with the idea of sending STDs...do you think I should since it is the week after Easter?

Can't believe we are at the only 10months to go stage!!!

Looking forward to chatting on here and hearing everyones updates / happy things / rants....

Hello fellow Bridettes

My fiancee & I are getting married on April 2nd & its great to see the different stages you're all at. So far my dress is done, flowers, photographer all booked. My mum is going to make our cake as she makes the best cake! Not having professional transport. Bridesmaid dresses arrived this week so just need to get them on the girls & see what they're like on.

Our main problem at the moment is stationary - I've bought some nice recycled card to print our own, but ink in the printer I've tried isn't properly sticking to the card & looks really shoddy! Thankfully not major problem when we've still got so much time. Also have entertainment to look into.

We're April 3rd - Good Friday! Venue, photographer, entertainment and food sorted. Grooms suit got - not looked for my dress yet though, hopefully not leaving it too late!

Date triplets! 11th of april too,

We are not sending save the dates, only having 60 ish people so have just told them all the date. Going to send the invites around september. OH wants to send them now as most of his friends work away from the UK so will need lots of notice, but i think it's a bit too early.

We've booked venue, inc. food, photographer, registrars and given our notice and I have bought my dress. I'm looking for ideas for other stuff but trying to to rush too much at the moment. Next thing to check off is the music.

Yeah; we're only having 50 people but I really wanted magnet save the dates so just went for them! Think we'll probably send our invitations out either in November or in January, don't want them to get 'lost' in with Christmas stuff!

How is everyone getting on?

I'm going on holiday on Thursday so the plan is to order my dress by then! I'm almost 100% sure which one i want but it's such a big decision! Going back to see it on Tuesday after another couple of appointments!

Im loving some of the pronovias dresses and Mori lee at the moment, but being plus size Im not sure if they will suit me. Its so frustrating knowing I have to wait until January to try some on.

However we did pick up our wedding bands the other day and I keep opening the box to look at them I love them so much

I'm buying bits and bats, made the buttonholes - just need finishing off. Got BM dresses and currently have two pairs of shoes but not 100% on either. I did try Irregular Choice on today - not right for me I'm afraid - which I'm glad actually because it's closed that box off.

Tried some tiaras on today and combs etc. Think I prefer the tiara so that's what I'm going to make

It's going well for us. Got our bands, florist is booked and I've just posted a cheque to book a surprise car to take h2b to the venue. It's the knightrider car, so cool!

Oh you're awesome!! I'm so confused with transport - OH definitely doesn't want to splash out on it which is fair enough! Also need to seriously think about how much to DIY our invitations...130 of them! ?

Hello everyone!?

I'm 10th of April. Exciting! I want to do DIY projects (start table plan frame, wrap jars in lace etc) but don't know if it's too early!

We've now got BM dresses and shoes sorted (phew!), favours bought, hairdresser booked, appointment to give notice booked although may have to change this as H2B's shifts changed grrr! Transport will hopefully be sorted over next month or so and I attempted to DIY an invitation the other day but don't have quite the right tools for the job so hopefully once I've got them, in a week or so I'll be all set to start them, all coming along nicely I think!

Ooooh your the day after me, so close to having a date twin! Never too early to start the DIY, just make sure you have somewhere good to store anything you make. I figure the more u make now the less last minute bits to do.

I've just noticed that the bride on my countdown thingy has been moving as of 12months!
