    Hello!

We do not actually have anything booked officially yet, but am hoping to be April 7th! Smiley smile (work in a school and not allowed time off for weddings so have to work around school holidays!)

Am so excited already, only been engaged a week and already seemed to have so many ideas! Haha!

I think putting out feelers about the hen is a good idea - OH has basically organised his stag (mind you he doesn't have a whole lot else to organise) and the girls are starting to ask about my hen!

Charlinc - any chance you could do a list of our dates on your OP? Thaaanks x

Wow sounds like a busy time, so pleased you got your dress!

I think its good to let people know about Hen/Stag nights early so that they can save up, it gives everyone a chance to budget and prepare for your wonderful night.

I have tried to do the names and dates, please let me know if I have missed anyone or written your name down wrong (currently working 14 hour days and my brain is fuddled)

Just re-reading this thread and wondered how you're attaching lace to jars Barnett? Just because my mum did some lace wrapped jars and used a glue gun, the glue melted again when she put a candle inside! Not to the extent that it all fell to bits but she found the all purpose glue to be better. And it's definitely not too early to start, I'll hopefully be making my invites, favour boxes and some deocration bits over the next month or so!

Had a good 'ebay' day today. I ordered some silver organza to place on the tables (as a runner) and 12,000 silver and clear crystals to scatter on them too.

My OH also found some little silver baskets, we just now need to decide what to put in them, I suggested sweets, my OH thought flower petals! (I think you can guess which of us has the sweet tooth Smiley laugh

Also very pleased that my bridesmaid dresses arrived. Bought from the sale section here on hitched and are lovely quality. Just have to hope they fit now as organising it for my bridesmaid who is based in England is pretty tricky, she will get to try it on in January.

At the moment I often find myself browsing the wedding dress pictures I have downloaded and really hoping that I find something I like after Christmas and I am dying to get my hair trial but cant make a final decision on that till my dress is chosen.

Hope all you April brides are having a good time x

Hi, mines april 30th, time is flying! We are getting married abroad, so less of the finer details to organise, but I'm still personalising with some home made bunting etc. My dress is ordered and due to come in oct, there are no pics online, so I'm working from memory! It is a white rose gown. I'm struggling finding bridesmaid dresses, so may risk it and order online, then I can sort out the boys! Photographer is booked and when I go to Greece in sept I am having my hair trial :-) so excited, less than 9 months to go!

Wow SunnyIvoryDecor62, where in Greece are you getting married? I am getting married in Austria.

Not long now till your dress is in! That must be so exciting, im sure you look stunning in it, but it is a shame you dont have a lovely photo of it to keep looking at.

Hope you find those bridesmaid dresses soon.

ooooh SoonToBeMrs that is so exciting, let us know how you get on!

How much DIY is everyone doing? I started our invitations yesterday and think it's going to end up being a long slog to get them all done, am determined it can be done though!

Thanks charlinc. I am so excited! Getting married in crete by a lake in ag nik, then having the reception back at our accommodation. Only our friends and family will be there and in the eve having greek music and dancers. I see it being incredibly relaxed, groom changing into shorts for reception, kids can jump in the pool, having lamb on the spit with lots of greek food. Can't wait!

I've just ordered my sister's bm dress from an ebay seller - I have 7 to buy so going to try with one and see how it goes! Keep everything crossed for me!!

Otherwise I feel a bit lost at the moment. I know I have stuff to do (accessories, hair and make up, transport, invitations) but that's a lot of money and I'm a bit scared to commit.

Actually, I feel like I should get to work on those!

    Hi there,

I'm April 25th (if all goes according to plan!) getting married in my partners hometown of Ripon, North Yorkshire, so that I immediately eliminated half my family (who are all in and around the outskirts of London!) Although I must admit that I find it pretty hard going organising a wedding from 200 miles away, thank goodness for email and phone!

I'm looking forward to it in the respect that I'll feel like a proper part of my little family unit with my partner and our son (who'll be 2 and a half when we tie the knot!)

Lots of us are organising weddings at a distance. We're making both our families travel 200 miles lol. Ripon's nice. Just up the road from me Smiley smile xx

Well i'm glad i am so up to date with my planning - i have just been diagnosed with breast cancer!

Luckily it is treatable, but i have 4 months of chemo, then an op, and then radiotherapy to go through. I will be finished by Feb/March next year but i will have no hair for my wedding day Smiley sad

I start my chemo on Friday and i'm feeling rubbish!

Hello people, our original wedding date was 13th August 2016, but we have recently decided to bring the wedding forward to 3rd April 2015, yikes! And I see I have a date twin, hello Musical bride! So I thought I would invite myself to this thread, hope you don't mind! There's so much to do and less than 8 months which is very scary but also exciting. So far we have our venue, our Humanist celebrant to perform the ceremony, and my dress. That's it! Is there anyone else who is as disorganised as me?
