Are holidays worth it?

Chicken, 19 January, 2009 at 07:18 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

I had a fantastic time over the last 3 weeks but, flip me, I'm miserable today. It's hissing down, I've been up since 5.30 and I have a full week at work ahead of me. I didn't feel this bad before I left.

Fecking normality. Sucks.

Don't feel too bad - apparently today is the most miserable day of the year so it's allowed.

    Was the holiday fantastic?

    Where did you go ??

Yes they are worth it - though I am still ironing things we took away from November - thats always the bit that I hate

The holiday itself always worth it !!!

Oh, and I put on serious poundage. I went to Australia and Dubai.

Holidays are good at the time but had I not have gone I'd be feeling ok right now.

At least you will be able to go into a daydream through the day and pretend you are back in Dubai or Australia which might make the dismal weather a bit better?

What did you do in Dubai? Did you go on a desert safari or anything?

Yuck holiday come down. But if you hadn't have gone, you would be sat there thinking about how badly you need a holiday ?

They're worth it, unless I get home and think I need a holiday to get over the last one ?

Mondays are usually miserable though and this one seems more grey and wet than most ?

I don't think you can really call yours a holiday chooks, for me a holiday is a week in spain or something, yours was more than that, it was a chance to see family, a new nephew and some pretty amazing places IMHO. A week in spain I can get over pretty quickly without feeling too miserable but I'm not surprised you're in Miseryville following your trip.

For me the best part of the holiday is getting up early and getting into the car heading to the airport whilst people are still in bed or on their way to work, once that bit is over I feel quite sad - that probably sounds really mad.

Holidays are worth it if you don't have to do straight back to work afterwards. ?
