Are you having wedding day lingerie?

moonpie1985, 12 February, 2012 at 21:34 Posted on Planning 0 18

I always thought of it as a bit of a waste but thought I would give it a go and ordered some from Figleaves. It just turned up and tried it on and it looks awful, so now back to thinking that I won't bother.

(my dress doesn't need it)

Are you having wedding say lingerie, and if so where is it from?

I won't need a bra as am having a built in corset, and am thinking I'll want to wear pretty but comfotable knickers.. However I may look at getting something nice for once the dress comes off IYSWIM!

I'm going to just be wearing knickers, my dress doesn't look right with a bra.

and I'm playing the comfort card and going with my favourite french knickers. I can't think of anything worse than being hot on the day and having my knicks cutting into me x

I bought some personalised knickers with Mrs X on the bum. I don't need a bra as my dress has a lot of support at the top, but I'm quite small chested and the corset pulls me in too much, so I've just bought a reasonably plain ivory strapless bra from M&S with a bit of lace.

    Hah @ Flow!

ce4mpMwp - they were from that website Diamon-T, which went under. They were originally £40 and I wasn't spending that much on a pair of knickers, but they had a closing down sale so I got them for £20. You can also get similar ones at www.blinginbloomers.co.uk

I actually made a pair for my sister using a normal pair of knickers and hotfix crystals that I ironed on. Bit of a faff though.

Hi I am wearing my my favourite style of knickers that I wear most of the time for comfirt - I dont want to be feeling self conscious all day. I'm not wearing a bra as my dress has one built in. I'm getting my lingerie for the night from Kiss Me Deadly who do lovely vintage style lingerie, and will be dashing up to the room with my CBM (my twin sister) before my new hubby gets there, so she can help me get out of my dress to change into it!

My dress doesn't need any fancy underwear which suits me as we're getting married in Vegas and it will be nice not to wear the extra layers in the heat. I have got these from Ell and Cee @ Glamourous Amourous with The Mrs in diamantees. I love them!

My frock doesn't need a bra under (if they get any more support I'll have someones eye out!)

I'm hoping to find some ivory/champagne coloured lace shorts, as they have the comfort factor and OH likes the lacy ones!

Its gonna be a loooonnnggg day so not going to try and rush to change into anything else, but was thinking about getting a nice nighty (I just CANT sleep nude) to put on for bed, and then maybe take than and one other on homeymoon too... hoping to find some not too expensive short and bra sets to take away too (he will just be amazed and pleased if I even just wear a matching set on HMoon!).

Has anyone come across any nighties/nighshirts that could be considered cute or sexy (but not OTT - makes me cringy!) with covered shoulders (another or my wierdnesses) that wouldn't be too hot for Egypt in June?

I was wondering about a nightshirt in the style of a mans dress shirt... I think thats a really good look.

Kind of like this but I wouldn't be out and about it it!:

I got some beautiful wedding underwear in the Agent Provocateur sale... £165 reduced to £55 for bra and knickers... really pleased to have something 'nice' as I'm usually all about functional underwear. It arrived this morning and H2B was very impressed!

I'm not. My dress doesn't need a bra so I'm going without - feeling a bit cheeky about that actually ? For the bottoms, I can't stand not wearing spanx under skirts and dresses (unless I am wearing tights) so am going for some oh-so-sexy spanx long shorts. I think I will get some lingerie for the honeymoon instead. My OH will probably not be in any shape to appreciate lingerie on the wedding night so why bother?!

This is an interesting post as i have just bought my ivory strapless bra and knickers from M&S but i am tempted to wear spanx as i always feel more confident in them with a skirt on but i don't want to over heat with them on under my dress in June westher (hopefully warm) and i am worried with a full length dress i will struggle to reach them to pull down for a wee. Wot you think?
