Arghh how can I reduce the file size of a powerpoint

    You've probably already tried this but could you put it into a folder and then compress?

    You could send it via webserver rather than standard email. At work we often use yousendit.

    It's a faff but you could reduce the size of some of the images within - i.e. open the original in Photoshop and take the resolution down - it only needs to be 72dpi for screen.

    Also, I seem to recall from our IT manager that we should always add images using the 'Insert File' funciton rather than copying and pasting, as that keeps file size down too.

    Still both a bit of a faff now though if it's all done and ready to send - sorreeeee

    Looks like you've sorted it, but thought would add this anyway... If you have the right software, you can save as a pdf file instead which is often smaller. But also, my team found that we had one company logo that was adding about 3MB alone! So it can be worth just checking the size of any clipart type things.
