Arm/Chest/Back Toning

CM2007, 21 March, 2011 at 12:52 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 4

Hi

I am trying to lose a bit of weight - I have a stone to lose but will be happy with 7 pounds by my wedding (30 April). I have started eating healthily eg vegetable soup for lunch cereal bar for afternoon snack (Alpen Light) and a sensible dinner. I'm also trying to exercise at least three times a week by either running/walking/running or doing a DVD. I'm finding that I do really well and then the week before my period happens and all I want to do is veg on the sofa and eat chocolate. I pretty much end up where I started! Any tips on how to get over that week would be welcome.

Also, I'm struggling to tone my arms and chest, particularly the bit around the armpit. Does anyone have any exercises I could try?

My advice to you is get yourself a resistance band (you can pick these up on ebay for a couple of quid! they are excellant and tone your arms instantly, you can use them on all areas of the body, just search for resistance training online and you'll find loads of exercises to do!

As for your chocolate cravings...try a banana when you want some chocolate (bananas have something in them that actually makes your brain think your eating chocolate so the craving goes away!)

Hi, I use a lot of fitness dvd´s at home ans I think that Tracy Anderson has some great arms exercises. Especially the standing arms section on her Mat workout dvd are brilliant but dead hard and different to what i´ve done before. Good luck! Smiley smile

    Thanks all.

I've bought the Jillian Anderson DVD (from Biggest Loser) and am going to try that along with sticking to the diet ?

Will look at the kettle bell too. Does that come with instructions/exercises?

Chest presses with a barbell or weights. Google/youtube for the correct way to do it.
It's worked wondered on my chubby armpits.
    Hope that helps!
