Artificial Flowers

PureDragonfly, 22 April, 2012 at 19:07 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hello!

Im getting married in Jamaica on New Years Eve 2012. I've ordered my dress, booked the holiday, flights, wedding, but haven't done much else yet.

Ive decided to take artificial (real/fresh touch rather than silk) flowers with me because I don't want to risk not liking the flowers once I get there and I'd like to keep my flowers after the wedding.

The plan is to have my sister (BM) in a bright pink dress and I want my bouquet to be bright pink stargazer lilies and either white cala lillies or white tulips. My sister will then have a smaller bouquet of white calla lilies or white tulips, the men would wear pink stargazer lily buttonholes and mine and fiance's mums would wear corsages with the two types of flowers. But I've looked everywhere I can find online and haven't been able to find what I'm looking for Smiley sad I've found a pink stargazer lily bouquet online which is pretty, but doesn't seem quite right. Ive thought of making it myself, but I don't think my creative skills would live up to my high standards!! Lol

Does anyone know of any good florists who work with real/fresh touch flowers that might be able to supply what I'm looking for?

I'm getting mine from here http://www.artificialweddingbouquets.com.au/ - though based in Australia she ships to the UK and so far she has been great.

I'm getting mine from Rainbow Florist who is a HIB (hitcher in business) on these forums. She's really lovely to work with and will help you pull together your ideas.

    Hi Puredragonfly,

We specialise in artificial foam flowers but do bespoke orders which ranged from tulips to sunflowers, if you would like a quick quote for some real touch flowers let me know.

Sounds like a good plan with the artificial flowers as I would have thought the real ones would droop pretty quick in that heat no matter how good the florist!!

    Hi Sarah,

Im looking for a shower type bouquet of bright link stargazer lilies and white/cream calla lilies. I have one bridesmaid and I'd like a simple hand tied bouquet of white/cream calla lilies for her. I'd also need a pink stargazer lily button hole for my fiancé, 4 calla lily buttonholes and two stargazer/calls lily corsages for mine and his mums.
