Hello everyone :-)

Just wondered if anyone was having artificial flowers instead of real ones? I have seen some stunning ones :-) plus you get to keep them forever

xx

We are for the BMs and on the cake. Which ones are you thinking of getting? I agree there are some lovely ones out there. When I was bm for my best friend my flowers were artificial and they were lovely, and looked fab in the photos next to her real ones.

I am swayimg towards wooden roses for all our flowers, i love the fact you can keep them forever, does seem such a waste of money that way :-)

All of my flowers are artificial due to the fact that H2B, me and our 3 kids all have hayfever!

I'm having artificial purely because I'm finding them to be much cheaper than real!

Yeah that's my reasoning to getting fake ones too - the cost. I got quotes from two local florists for red and white - one bridal, one MB and two buttonholes and one was £160 and one was £175! I can't justify that - not when I can get fakes for £70 x

Wow thats alot from the florist.

Like i said i am going with wooden ones and i have been quoted for 1x bridal bouquet, 3 BM bouquets, 1 flower girl basket, 10 button holes, 4 corsages and a top table arrangement for £170.

Fake flowers are the way to go i think x

That's a really good idea. I'd considered dried flowers but not artificial. Flowers for the room are included in my venue, but this is a nice way to sort out buttonholes and bouquet!

If I'd seen paper bouquets before I got married I think I'd have had one of those, they're gorgeous. I loved my flowers though, so not complaining!

I am having artifical flowers for the exact same reasons that you have mentioned!

Also, I want our mums and dads to be able to keep their button holes/corsages forever as I think it wil be a lovely reminder of the wedding. Both me and my OH are only children, neither of us have brothers and sisters, so its the only weddings both of our parents will ever host!

When we saw our flowers originally in the shop, I mistakenly thought the florist had made them from real flowers, becuase they looked and smelt so life-like!

I am going for artificial flowers purely because they are cheaper and easier as we have to travel quiet a distance to our wedding venue.

However that being said I am treating myself to a real bouquets if I can Smiley smile

I have gone for artificial flowers so I can keep them although the main reason is H2B and son suffer really bad hayfever so don't want any snotty noses and swollen eyes!!

I just got mines today from a fab lady called Foam Flowers by Joanne, she is on facebook!! Truly amazing lady and really friendly. Here is a photo of them, I have silk peonies and the BM's and guys have foam roses.

I like the idea of artificial flowers too. Can I ask where you got them from? Are there artificial flower florists?! Sorry if this is a dumb question!

Sure, it was Sues flowers of york .. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Sues-Wedding-Flowers-of-York . I ordered them ages ago, requested a custom listing because i wanted a bundle of items. In total it came to £165.58

    1x teardrop bridal bouquet
    4x adult bridesmaid bouquets
    2x star wands
    2x luxury corsages
    8x single buttonholes
