OK ONE got one for you:

BT in our area are fcuktards, and we've just ordered our 3rd Homehub in the 2 years we've been with them- disconnected in January to set up a new contract, to get a new hub. This one is within warranty, so free replacement.

Now then- we're moving into town, and want to get Virgin instead of BT. If H calls up BT and talks to them, what's the likelihood of them accepting responsibility for having given us sh1t service for a very high price, and let us out of the contract early for free?

You can never have too much money, too many shoes or too many cats.

Although I'd stop when I couldn't remember all of their names.

Did you actually sign a contract?

Sometimes worth asking them to produce a copy.... These things go astray on occasion.

No, we didn't, as far as I can recall.. They just sent out the hub, and with a "welcome to BT" letter..

A signed contract isn't always neccessary. The fact that you have made use of the hub means you have accepted the terms and conditions of the contract. This is how it works with mobile phones and I imagine with many other things such as internet.
