I was a bit shy about flashing in the run up to the day but wanted to share a few pictures from our wedding in the Surrey Hills on Saturday. These are just a few informal ones captured by our friends - I might do a proper report when the 'official' pictures are ready!
Scott and I got married at Burrows Lea Country House in Shere just as the cycling Tour of Britain went through the village so we had a few issues with road closures - we were told about it approximately four weeks before the day and managed to arrange that our guests would arrive early and have drinks in the conservatory beforehand, so that we could ensure everyone made it ok. Once the roads reopened after the ceremony we made our way to the Chichester Hall in Witley where we had afternoon tea and very informal speeches before the evening party with a Ceilidh band, disco and fish 'n' chip suppers. Our first dance went down a storm (we did a traditional slow one with a few quirky bits and then cut into 'Twisting the night away' when some of my dance teacher friends jumped up to jive with us). It was very relaxed and fun and I am surprised at how chilled I was on the day!
Everyone said they had a great time and I can't wait to see the full photos and video. Below are a few in the meantime though - you can spot fellow HIB's Guy Wade (Toastmaster extraordinaire) and Buttercup (of NathalieSB's Buttercup Bus company) in the background!
