At work - in body only

Sarah_coxy, 30 September, 2013 at 12:37 Posted on Planning 0 11

So -

I get married 2 weeks on Thursday.

I have 9 working days left at work (including today)

I'm here, tapping away, trying to find a little motivation, speaking to my volunteers.

But in my head I'm "La,la,la I'll be Mrs G in just over a fortnight"

I'm thinking about making my peace with these last weeks not being my most productive!

6 weeks to go for me and I'm struggling to get myself in to work mode too and Mondays are always a struggle!

I've posted balance cheques out this morning and managed to send a few work related emails but get the feeling that my focus is slipping just a wee bit.

Biggest day of your life so I reckon you're allowed to be a bit distracted (not sure my boss would agree with that though ?

I know the feeling, I get married on Saturday and am working until Wednesday, I just hope I'm not expected to be productive!

I'm the same!! Get married in 12 days (or next Saturday eeek!!) and only have 5 more days at work including today! So I am really not concentrating on work, only thinking about the wedding and what still needs doing etc!!

Try being back at work for the first time in 3 weeks after wedding / honeymoon. THEN talk to me about feeling 'out of it'! ?

Oh Skeptical78! I'm already slightly concerned about me being a massive grump on my return in November Smiley sad

Still I guess you had an amazing honeymoon? Where did you go? Smiley smile

    Following the BEST WEDDING EVER.

Sorry everyone else, but it's true. Everyone said so.

Four weeks today...motivation to work is here somewhere, I just can't remember where.

I work from home so it's double trouble - I keep rushing into the spare room to look at the mounds of clothes I got out in my feeble attempt to pack at the weekend (we're marrying abroad - fly two weeks on saturday eek).

Omg it's 4:45pm and I'm not sure what I have achieved today...

Ah yes, ordered E111, booked hire car, printed all legal docs, checked passports, printed tickets, emailed make-up artist, e-mailed hair-dresser, arranged to collect wedding dress, picked up wedding shoes, been food shopping, emailed wedding planners with various bizarre questions (with a note saying the nearer the day gets the more outrageous and bonkers I will be)

    Countdown has commenced *squeal*
