Hey

I'm getting married the same day as you! I'm planning to send the invitations out at the end of April - if I actually get round to making them all by then!

We're the 15th August and I'm sending some of our invites out the end of this week. Mainly sending them to the people who have to travel. We're getting married in Wales but live in Northumberland, so all of OHs family and friends have to travel.

Sending the invites to those who don't have to travel at the begining of May.

I'm also 29th August, and we're writing finishing ours this weekend to send out on Monday.

Im 22nd Aug. Planning on sending late April, just need to get my bil to design them now!

I am the 22nd as well, just need to finalise print inserts with all the guests names on and agree on inserts then we are done. Need to nip and change paper as wrong shade of cream! Then can print want to get them out in the next few weeks.

I'm the 8th and I finished my invitations yesterday all ready to be given out at Easter!

I am on the 1st, and mrskitty is still making mine (partly cos i am very disorganised/very busy/not overly worried about getting them out!)

Don't think there is any problem sending them out now as lots of people are booking their summer holidays at the moment, so want to make sure they won't be away. Ordered the paper yesterday and as soon as the design is finalised i will be sending them off.

im glad we all seem to be sending out at the same time, yay. Mine are all written out and ready to go now. I was thinking the same thing, that people will be booking holidays,especialy as im getting married on a bank hols weekend ?

cant believe how quickly its coming round now, im off to buy the fg dresses today and tgen ordeing the bm dresses end of this month - its soo exciting!

Im 22nd August and sending ours out in the next two weeks, if i get my back side into gear! My concern was people booking holidays so made sure everyone knew the date then relaxed a bit ( maybe to much!!)

We're the 28th of august and I think we're going to send them in May. Would you say thats a gd time or too earli? too late?x

I'm 22 Aug as well and I need to get mine out ASAP as we have a few people who need to book flights. Suzanne at Prettywild is making mine, I just need to sit down tonight to finalise the guest list so that I can give her the numbers.

Ooh crikey, just realised it's 4 months today - eek.

It doesn't sound long does it.

It's all gone rather quickly!!! h2b and i are giving notice tomorrow too, so it will all become slightly real tomorrow, cos despite me buying my dress, booking the venue, seeing our names on mrskitty's draft invites etc etc it still doesn't feel like it's happening!

maybe i should become a bit more bridezilla?!?

I seem to keep getting stuck on different things.

Trying to sort out what I actually want on the tables. I don't mind if it's not flowers but if it's not then what? Who knows.

Then we get back to the music issue. I can see it being a last minute selection.

Whilst the kids are on holiday we are venturing to your neck of the woods for some serious retail therapy and hoping to get a lot of the other bits we need like shoes, etc.

Are you getting sorted? It felt really real for us when we gave notice.

Oh and I'm really looking forward to giving my invitations out next week.

You're coming a long way for retail therapy! best place for it though IMO! i have my shoes sorted, but am leaving it to my aunt to sort my FGs - they can wear what the like (within reason!)

what music haven't you chosen? ceremony, or evening reception?

kind of sorted - there's nothing huge i still need to do. lots of little things but i refuse to get stressed over them. actually i still haven't done the cake.... (will probably get loads of cupcakes from waitrose or some other supermarket!) mrskitty isdoing our invites as we speak - they'll get sent out as soon as they're ready.

sat down with our tog last week for dinner - he is first and foremost a guest at our wedding (uni friend's H but a very skilled amateur) but he showed us other weddings he'd done, and how he would do ours - was sooo impressed, and made me look forward to it even more.

i think that's how i feel about it mostly - just really excited!

It really isn't that far. We're just off the A14 so it's just straight down the M11 really. We often go down to Ashford and that is quite a long way.

We can't decide the music for the ceremony. Mainly for me to walk in to with my Dad. But the first dance song is still very much up for discussion.

We haven't sorted our cakes out yet but I'm not stressed about it.

You're really lucky getting your invitations done by J, I think her work is beautiful.

I keep getting silly excited as people talk about it but then the nerves kick in again!!

We are 1st August and I sent mine out a few weeks ago, sent them out early so family from London and Manchester can book rooms at hotels and arrange other holidays around our big day. Asked for R.S.V.P's to be returned by 1st June so I have a few weeks to chase non repliers, I have to give final numbers a month before the wedding, im extremely organised, so much so im twiddling my thumbs, wanting to plan things.

Im sure you are all a lot more organised than me but has anyone else had dramas trying to organise a date for their hen night?

I ended up with either only the 1st week in aug or end of June so first week in Aug it is, still it gives me plenty of time to recover, 3 weeks in fact ha ha
