    August 13!

I ordered the dress and we bought the rings last week. Invites are out as of today. Photographer is in the making (we have to meet again to finalize) and DJ is booked.

Still to do: music, groom's suit, cake, flowers, details, menu, registrar info.

    It's getting closer, aaaarggghhhh!

Oooh your the day after us.

We're still working on getting the invites out - just so much hard work trying to get them all together and OH is working away so his friends won't get theirs for at least another 6 weeks - still well within our RSVP deadline of June 30th though.

    Date Twin!!

We sent our invites about 10 days ago and so far have had over 1/4 of them back, which I think is pretty impressive!! Still trying to sort out the grooms suits. I need to sort out my shoes, jewellery and veil.

Did bridesmaid dresses about two weeks ago, so they are now all orderd, so getting there, just working on tying up the dingbats to go at everyone's place setting - proving more fiddly than I initially thought! Got to book in my make up trial as well - are you going on your own for this, or are you taking people with you?

I'm having someone come to my Moms house to do my hair and make up trial and so Mom will be around for both. If she wasn't already there I wouldn't have asked her to be IYSWIM?

I've still not got my invites all written out but they should be all done this week and ready to go out next time I visit home over easter.

    Hello fellow August brides!

Well Im meeting the lady making my stationary tongiht to see made up invites then the rest will be made up and going out in a week or so! May give a sneaky flash later!!

    I have still to do:

buy the bridal party presents, buy my OH a present (Think its going to be a my beautlifu journal!), need to buy the favours (scratch cards and yankee candle tart), buy the glassware for the tables, buy the trivia I have seen for the tables, buy sweets for the sweetie table. Still not had THE call about my dress which is disappointing as I thought it would have come in by now as I ordered it in November 2009!!

Still not lost any weight but not gained any either which is the only saving grace!

Not long now I just want it all to be here now it seems like I have been waiting so long I just want it to seem real and happen!!

    xx

I am working on all the rejections I am getting through at the mo from fabulous family members!! Although it means I can invite the people I really want there so sod em! Going to change my cake design slightly again tomoz and having a hair trial on Thursday as only had a brief one last year and hair was far too short to do a proper trial (it has grown more now). Not much else to sort at the mo, going to start paying things off soon I think as I don't want a load of bills to pay in July. The time is flying now though....nearly onto 3 and a half months, scary but soooo exciting, I can't wait now. Oh and going to get my young bridesmaids dress on Saturday as I don't think she will grow too much in the next few months so can risk getting it now; it's all coming together.

The one thing I am dreading is the table plan, I don't really have any issues with people not getting along but I just think it will be a pain sorting out the right numbers of people on each table and trying to mix different family members so that they mingle well but making sure u put similar personalities together!

Hi we're getting married 6th August.

Only big things still to do are mens suit hire which we're doing in 3 weeks and my transport (i know i should have done this by now but been really struggling). Need to order the silk flowers once decided exactly what i want. Also need to buy a few things for me as i've changed my mind on the things i already have.

Just finished the invitations today, gave a few out that were already complete but sent the rest today. Just have to wait for people to reply now.

Need to buy the my lil sisters who are 8 & 11 bridesmaids dresses (again) bought them a lil while ago but one of them had a slight growth spurt, so we gave them to them at xmas.

Then have to make order of service, place names, have hair and make up trials, stag and hen (not sure what doing), decorate post box, make up the favours and other little things. Sure there are other things but cant think right now.

It's getting so exciting now ?

Glad to see everyone is coming along well then!

The only big thing I need to do is to get bridesmaid dresses, and that's stressing me!

Most of my guests are family, so I can be fairly sure who can/can't make it from the chit-chat following sending my STD (and the fact that most of them are discussing with me what they are going to wear..) so table plan is already underway - mine is hugely complicated. Firstly by us having 150 guests, and secondly by my parents divorce - I literally can't put anyone on my Dad's table other than his wife and step-kids for fear of upsetting Mom - even Dad's brothers seems to tip-toe around my Mom so don't want to put them on Dads table and make them uncomfortable - nightmare!

I have so many "little" things on my to-do list. I feel like we've decided on things, but they are not sorted. eg: Florist is booked, quote is in my file and budgeted for, but we need another meeting closer to the time to confirm. There must still be 70 or 80 of these silly little jobs on my to-do list - anyone else feeling like this?

I went home last night forgetting to take the guest list from my laptop so still not managed to get those invites finished - will work on it tonight as very keen to have them done by the weekend!

Hi little madam this exactly how i am feeling I seem to have loads of fiddly bits and chasing people up to double check things. I think I have 8 people with outstanding invite rsvps of which i think i know who is and isn't coming.....

Still not sorted rings yet, still have no idea on where we are going on honeymoon, I want it all to happen next week!

Has anybodies elses Mother of the bride, not bothered to sort out their outfit yet?? I tried asking to be told she was too bl**dy busy to be bothered, which upset me, especially as it is now only 4 months!!!

My to-do list is just so bitty - chase up this / that and confirm this (again!).

My MoB has been outfit shopping since we got engaged, and finally got hers last week as it was being reduced and discontinued - she looks lovely (insert proud daughter icon).

I was more concerned about MIL, but took her out last week, and within 2 hours her outfit was done. Both just need undies fitting now!

We were told if you don't buy now, you run the risk of next seasons stuff coming in, which I could already see to an extent in the BHS MoB section - some darker colours and thicker cover ups coming in, perhaps suggest an internet snoop one night?

Wow 6th of August is going to be one busy day!

I finally managed to get the invites written last night, and have also finally bought my table names - I had tried to make my own, but I made them too early, they got ruined, and I just couldn't be bothered to make them again a few days before the wedding - so that is another silly thing off my list!

Spent yesterday looking up the Spa price list for our honeymoon and already mentally booked myself in for lots of treatments - haha!

I was ok when there was a little 4 before the months to go now it says 3 and I can feel the panic creeping in!! I can't see me doing anything other than wedding stuff over easter. I really feel I need more things to tick off the list.... I am beginning to think my list is not comprehensive enough!!!!

I'm very glad I'm not the only one who's done this! I can't wait to have massages - I wonder if my OH will let me have one a day! we had an email from our holiday company to say that our return flight had been cancelled and we could either come home a day earlier or a day later!! - so a day later it is and that means a whole day longer in luxury!!

Our invites should be posted by prettywild at some point this week, I'm sooooo excited! - really want to get them out now, our rsvp is the 1st June for day and 15th for evening. We need to know about the numbers before the 1st July for the coach company!

That's good - will we get a little flash before hand? I love Pretty Wild's stuff!

Our invites are still sitting in their little paper bag at work - I must start delivering them this weekend.

From looking at our spa menu, the prices are so high i'll be lucky to persuade OH to do it once! haha. It's about $230 for a couple massage. Grr. There are some more reasonably priced treatments though, manicures are a more reasonable $50, and pedicures $70 I think - have got it cut out in my book. ?

I'm still stressed about BM dresses and seriously considering sacking one of my BMs right now. Not cool!

Other than that - i've very unstressed about the whole thing. Honeymoon payment is due very soon I believe.. So waiting to empty OHs ISA, then I can start booking my injections ?

I'm 6th August too!! Will be a busy few days for us all.

I am the same as you Little Madam, We went through our list of things to do and its all silly little bits that cant be done yet.

I want to do things like make the postbox, but as we are moving into a military house a couple of weeks before, I am going to have to wait or it might get ruined!

How is everyone else doing? Nerves are kicking in already!!

    xx

Shani - you are in the same position as me!

Does everyone think your mightily mad when you say your going to move into your new place 3 weekends before your wedding? I am also relocating 250 miles north and getting a new job too so I can kind of see why... But, I am kind of on top of it all!

Re: Post boxes etc - can you store them at your parents? We are getting married where I come from so it's most convinient to leave everything at my parents during the move as that means I can forget anything when we come down for the wedding.

Otherwise - you could get working on the flat paper based things that can be stored in simple ring binders, and buy the box bit later on?

I am getting more nervous about the move than the wedding at the moment TBH. I know my OH is getting nervous now, but I don't think it will really hit him until he goes to have his Banns read in our church - they church we are getting married is huge and the idea of it being full with our loved ones is a big deal for him. I'm just going to make the most - it will be the first time i've ever been centre of attention in front of our hooooge family and i'm going to make the most of it.

Ouch, that is expensive... ours isn't too bad - that's Thailand for you! to be honest I'll probably be spending more on diving than the spa, but still who doesn't love a massage! ?

To futher add to my little adventure.. OH is going to Afghan 3 weeks after our honeymoon, for 6 months! Not sure how i'll cope, but I know I will, somehow! I mean he may come back to find i've tempted fate and full on decorated a nursery for our future potential kids, or that i've taken up some random hobby, but all will be fine. ?

I wish the spa wasn't so pricey as i'd like one down by the sea, and one in the spa room - but I will have to come to a compromise somewhere.

Oh, that must have come as a shock to you Little Madam, what a shame it's so soon after thewedding.

My fiance is in the TA and I'm dreading him being called up for a tour though it's only likely to be a month at least.

I have had quite a successful week, my shoes arrived and I've ordered my invites (though I still think they may end up being crap since it's my own design printed by vistaprint) I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I've also found a florist who can supply the flowers I want though she hasn't replied to my email yet.

I need to push OH into making a decision in the disco (his Mum's still banging on about having a band) then I might be able to relax a little

Sounds good to me! Does that mean your keeping the shoes then Dolly? They are fab!

I've always known OH was due to go on tour at that time, he went early September 2009 too, and he is on 18 month turnaround due to him having some special skill or other, so I kind of have some warning and time to deal with it. I hope your OH doesn't get called up - this Libya issue is my current worry - I really don't want OH to go there.

I know what you mean, it's noce to have some time to get used to them going away rather than being told a week or 2 before! My OH really wants to do a tour so I think it's anot a case of if but when ☹️ He qualified to be called up last year but touch wood he hasn't been asked yet.

Yes, I'm going to keep the lovely shoes but I'm hunting for a back-up pair that are more comfy!

Kayl - thats tough that he's off so soon but as you say it's just the way it is. My OH got back last January and he's off again in April - I guess about the time your OH gets home.

I think any random hobby picked up is entirely understandable!!!

When OH gets back Oct 2012 we're off to OZ for 5 weeks which should be pretty amazing! then it's bambino's - woop woop :o)
