    Hi Pink1908 ?

You'll be fine, are you ordering or using a high street shop? there are sopme beautiful dresses in coast at the moment!

My bridesmaids dresses are being made by my mum and my sister as all my bridesmaids are having different dresses (to suit there figures) not measuring them until June as two of my bridesmaids are dieting! - very nervous about this ?

I saw your shoes, they're beautiful!

I'm terrible with heels so im making myself wear heels every day now so I get used to them! - If I can make it to the first dance with my shoes in tact I'll be sooo happy!

We have a simular plan - OH comes back, we go on a second honeymoon in April 2012, a cruise in May 2012 and then a tour of America in August 2012 then time to be sensible and have lots of babies.!

That's the plan, but I know OH will be going back somewhere August 2013 so would depend on me conciening in the first 2 months - if not, we'd have to wait again until post tour - I will be well old by then!!

Am I really 6 years younger Pheonix? I turned 24 last weekend and it feels really, I hate to say it, but, old.

We went to get another thing off the to-do list at the weekend, and we ended up disappointed that we couldn't have my WR engaved due to it having diamonds all the way round, so have had my ER instead.

Also got OHs gift, which I have had engraved with "There isn't a second I won't love you" - with it being a watch it seemed quite cool:

Went to pay the honeymoon but couldn't as we booked in a different branch in different region so have to go back to the shop we booked in.

Ssh kayl/ Little madam.... la la la la its not happening... I don't know where this year is going but it is definitely scaring me!!!!

Well we have eventually picked / designed rings just need to get the email back with the final prices.

Have restarted on my making efforts - table plan, place names, butterfly confetti, MIL2b has started on the bunting which is made up of the most gorgeous fabrics. Definitely keeping a string for the nursery - for when we are lucky enough to have children.

Fitted into my dress even if i couldn't breathe, I think if i lose another 3 or 4 lbs it is going to be perfect!

My mum is still refusing to go dress shopping for her! i think i am going to have to be happy if she doesn't turn up in mucky jodhpurs!

Are you starting to get really excited too though Lovely girl? OH and I were listening to Adele "Home town glory" the other day, and I was saying this would make fab entrace music, a slow piano then a louder organ for arrival of the bride. I was driving and talking through saying, bridesmaids would be at the front of the church now, then i'd be walking in now, then you'd see me now.." then he looked at me and said "Can you stop please, else I'm going to cry" ?.

I can't believe your Mum - does she have a date in mind, or do you think she is quite decisive. My MIL was excellent and got hers in less than 2 hours, she only tried 5 on! Good going I think!

Your dress is here already (insert panic icon) - mine isn't due for at least 6-8 weeks! And my B dresses are STILL not ordered, but I have 1/4 girls measured, 2 are coming with me this weekend coming to be measured up properly and barely speaking to the other BM at the moment, if I thought I could get away with asking her to stand down, I would!

Sounds like your DIY plans are coming on well! We have lots of letters spelling Mr & Mrs *married name* which we need to get on with decorating! We meant to do it last weekend in the sun but time kind of ran away with us! We might get time on Saturday, but all is so busy at the moment.

OHs best man confessed last night he doesn't have a clue what to do to go about organising OHs stag do - it's a good job I am fairly open to what he is going to get up to as I am going to be organising it with Best man! I am going to suggest a paintball session, before they are picked up by a booze bus to a town of BMs choice, he will need to source clubs while I find hotels and food plans and train tickets - BM will also need to be working on the guest list, as I don't know OH friends. I'll also be suggesting lots of pranks on OH! ?. Or something like a version of "it' a knock out" before a booze bus - it's a bit of a nightmare!

Don't panic about your dress I bought mine off the rail! No my mum is not decisive at all.... I am hoping she will go to a coast outlet and get something gorgeous as she will not want to pay lots of money! Dad has bought himself a new kilt which I am super excited about. We are now umming and ahhing about ties that FIL2b bought as much as they are burberry and were really expensive they are navy and the two colours i did not want were navy or baby sick blue..... Bridesmaids dresses are not here yet.... MIL2b has been shopping a few times but has not found anything that is non frumpy.....

The sun is very anti productive! we are going to go for a 38 mile cycle ride this afternoon! for fun!

That could be easy, if she can chose something from one shop. My Mom is a very self-concious size 18 and was a complete nightmare. I'd estimate we tried on perhaps 50 dresses, and on more than one occasion had more than one personal shopper helping her!

MILs outfit was a bargainous £150 from the new BHS range - absolutely lovely! Looks amazing regardless of cost as it suits her figure.

I am pleased your Dad is making a special effort on the new kilt front, I imagine they are not cheap at all, and bless your FIL2b for the effort, but I know what you mean, sometimes, as much as you appreciate the sentiment, it's just not quite right.

38 miles! OMG I would whinge at having to drive that today in this nice sun let alone bike it! Good luck, and hope you do enjoy it - it sure will help with those last few pounds for the dress!

I know how you feel Shani - we move up to OHs camp a month before and are looking at a 3hour drive home too for fittings etc, I am hoping I will just have just the one - to take it up, and pull it in at my bust a little.

I am hoping i'll have to go back, try it on, and that should be it - then i'll pick it up the day before the wedding after it's been steamed etc.

The OHs & afghan are a nightmare - is yours off anywhere soon? I know he's not long come back?

Please dont say that!! ? I'm 29 now but will be 30 when we get married!! - My OH will still be 29 and he loves that on our wedding certficate I'll be a year older! We've been together since we were 22.

I've nearly got all the invites out now just a few stragglers! they are truely beautiful! I'll post some photos later as I'm going to take some to send to one of OH's friends who's on a transfer to New Zealand for 3 months!!

I think I have nearly everything bought that I need - just a few garden games to purchase but I'll wait until nearer the time! somehow though I still have 55 things on the to do list! OH finally got his promotion pay sorted so we got a nice lump sum that leaves us only about 1800 away from our target to save (we have this money in our savings but we're trying not to touch them!)

I'm off to a wedding next week and I'm trialing my eyelash extensions, my makeup lady is doing it for me so quite excited about that. Next month is when I have my hair trial and makeup trial etc so I'm quite excited. we also have our engagement shoot and I have my boudoir shoot in June. I really need to get myself sorted and get all the little bits done this month and June and July are sooo busy!

Hi girls can I butt in! I am 20th Aug and still have SO much to do!

I have my dress but it needs altering as I ordered off eBay and measured myself and it's too long. Am waiting until I get the petticoat I ordered before I take it to someone to alter though.... I hope to lose weight so if I do (yeah right!) it will need more altering.

We have the rings, the ring cushion, the guest book, the favour bags, the table confetti, the BM dresses (my 2 young daughters n young niece), and yesterday my H2B got a lovely suit, shirt, tie (wont wear that though, need waistcoat n cravat), and shoes from Burton for £124 including my student discount, wahoo! So he only needs the w/coat and cravat.

I have ordered a veil and got my wedding jewellery

    BUT

    Still to get are:

    My shoes, my undies

    BM's shoes

Hair accessories for me and my eldest daughter (will be 5)

Make Up (the good stuff as I am DIY-ing it!)

Cake ribbon and toppers (DIYing it!)

    The cake (M&S!)

    The cake stand, knife.. eek!

    Favour fillings

    Flowers

Passport pics and passport renewal for H2B!

Decs for the car (using my OH's grey Zafira as can't afford a wedding car- just need someone not at the wedding to drive it.. who!)

    Invites! (EEK!)

Also need to fully pay for the reg office, the venue, the venue dec, the tablecloths (need to find myself as diff size round tables and I think it will be dear!), need to allow money for the tan, waxing, nails, hair for me and eldest + trial for me, and pay the rest of our Honeymoon!

    ARGH!

I am so behind it's untrue. Still not picked any wedding music or first dance song either......

Reason I quoted you shani14 was just to ask what course you are doing? I am a 2nd yr student nurse and also now on placement until July.. ARGH!

    T x

I've purposely kept off this thread as the sheer panic when reading all your replies was too much. However with only a few months left to go for us all now I thought I should check in and get my ass in gear.

Since I last made a list of things I'd finished, I have now:-

Ordered bridesmaid dresses and finally chosen colour (sage green)

Had a trial run of bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets and buttonholes. Well my sister did then and I helped. They looked lovely, hopefully I'll get a flash up at some point.

Got my shoes which are some lovely red satin heels again, I will try to flash soon.

Men have ordered their suits for the 1st wedding

My Indian dress should be arriving in about 3 weeks and OH has finally picked his design too (after adding huge amounts of bling to it!)

My OH has decided that he wants to make fudge for our favours, so we've had a few trials and they are gorgeous. No need to get teeth breaking sugared almonds - yippee!

SO much more to do though and can't believe how little time is left. Has everyone got their invites sent out yet, we're sending out the next wave of ours this week as soon as my mum gets the last of the addresses.

Pheonix - I don't know how i'll cope with 25 yet let alone 30! (Not that I am melo-dramatic you understand!). A lot of people do say they feel more confident and secure in their 30s so I may be pleasantly suprised!

Are you excited for the boudoir shoot? I keep seeing lots of gorgeous undies and it's making me wish i'd booked one, but i've had one on hols before, so it kinda of loses the meaning if OH ends up with a million naked pics of me!

Tressis - don't worry, I don't think you are that far behind, i've not done any of the things on your list at the moment and I feel very on top of it right now!

I have had a bit of a day - meant to be ordering BM dresses tomorrow and today had a call to tell me... My bridesmaid is moving to NEW ZEALAND very soon, so to count her out from the hen/wedding. Very upset as she is the BM who got me and OH together, but obviously told her to get out there and enjoy. Said I do expect her to raise a glass to us on our special day, wherever she ends up!

Mrs bear - well done on the progress! Our invites are 50% out, in that all mine are out but only 2 of OHs are out... OH is working away from work at the moment so cant invite his friends, but that should be sorted this week.

I cannot wait to see more of your Indian wedding dress as I have never seen one before.

I am 20th Aug too and I have lots to do too tressls

I have my dress but it needs the hem taking up - mum will do this for me in a few weeks time. I have a hoop. Two friends have offered me their tiaras and veils to borrow so will see both and make a decission.

We have the rings, but mine needs the shape changing and the size changing. The jeweller said he could do it within a day so I'll pop it in when I have a day off work next month.

The invites are out for the day and mine are out for the evening, but OH is lagging behind on that - he needs addresses. The post box my mum is making and we spent easter weekend embroidering and embellishing the centre pieces - mum is going to put them together and stuff them for me. I will make the origami bits closer to the time.

My brother is designing our OOS when we have decided what hymns and readings we want. I have bought a cheap guest book in a closing down sale which he will design the cover for so we can recover it so it fits our theme.

Venue, church, TOG and car booked and going to see two bands in next couple of weeks so should have that sorted very soon. Giant garden games booked. Hair booked and in talks with makeup lady. My cousin has agreed to sing at the church whilst we sign the register. Activity bags for kids sorted.

Still need - My shoes, all of OH'S outfit snd tie for BM. Dress for BM - though this will be last minute as she is pregnant. Flowers for her too if needed. Cake - a friend is making it but we need to decide on a design. Flowers - I am making them and this is taking a long time! Also need to make venue decorations and table swags and runners. We neeed to chose music for the church and the first dance - OH has been given a deadline of the end of this week for this as we need to learn our first dance routeen - and it can't be choreographed until we know the music! Still to decide if we want decorations in church. Haven't sorted our menu or wine list yet and need to meet with the vicar, TOG etc!

    So much to do!

Loving the buntin Thor1 - makes a lovely addition to your garden too!

How are all the August brides now then?

I am nervously awaiting my bridesmaid dresses from the Birmingham dress lady - they should be another 6 weeks now.

At the 9/10 week mark we have our suits to be fittied and OHs uniform should be ready for collection post tailoring today!

We had a lovely meeting with the vicar on Thursday for our final marriage prep and he asked some very valid questions about our relationship / conflict / expectations etc. We did also find out though that we are unable to have the choir sing for us, which was slightly disapointing.

We're having a few issues with OH working away, meaning he is no-where near his friends to hand around his share of the invites, thank goodness the RSVP deadline isn't until the end of June!

Other than that, quite chilled out = trying to organise the stag do as the best man has NO IDEA. But everything else is just so-so.

I cant believe how quicky time is rocking round!!! I still want to believe my ticker is lying to me!! We have some wedding things coming up in the next couple of months that I just get excited thinking about them all then my mind runs away with itself and I get nothing done lol!!!

We are having our engagement session next Sunday!!! No idea what i should wear for this?? Any ideas girls?? Get paid on Thursday so that may well call for a wee shopping trip lol!! We are using the pics from this too make our guest book and get 2 large prints for the mummys for pressies. Is this too cheesy??

We only sent out our invites Yesterday as my best friend got married on Monday and I was bridesmaid at it so I didnt want to take away from her wedding!! We have everything else booked and mostly paided for its all the wee small things though that keep cropping up that u dont take into account when your planning. OH is off on his stag in 2 weeks and mine is in 4 weeks. I think that is when it will really sink in that im actually getting married!!

Annaebrook - I am sure all will be fine. I like to sit back and think about how the day will run and make sure that I have considered all aspects and sorted what needs to be done for each stage. OCD? Me? ?

Thor - It really was brill, we were in a group of about 20 other couples and the Vicar first gave me a picture and OH a piece of paper and asked me to tell OH how to draw it, then did the same but with reverse roles.

They talked through the theory of people having different ways they like to be shown / feel loved. Eg: They need to be physically hugged, or told, or need to spend time together, or need an action of love etc and we talked about conflict, and how we managed it. We were then given a piece of paper with some fundamental relationship questions and asked to answer them in isolation and then compare - so who would we call if we were in a car accident/in debt/worried and then where do you see your relationship in 1/5/10/50 years. Very good.
